Beware. The worst lumber yard to deal with by far. Ordered Jeldwen windows years ago and was delivered Cierra Pacific with the labels taken off and was told they were Jeldwen.

I have been buying from Lamperts for 6 years now and unfortunately their customer service has greatly decreased over the years. They take forever to answer emails, phone calls go to their voicemail boxes and orders are usually delivered late. I will be looking to outsource the things I have been purchasing from them in the near future!

Good selection of Marvin windows which is what we came in to look at. The salesman was very helpful with explaining the features of each model of windows. Very helpful in decision making.

needed (4) 2x12x14 treated boards for deck stringers delivered. was thinking i would get better quality boards from this "Lumber" store rather than the big box stores. Boy, was i wrong, 2 boards were ok, the other two were curved, cupped, warped and even a little mold on top. One was so warped i couldn't use it. hmmmm...ill go to the big boxes next time. expensive mistake!

WORSE customer service EVER! They ordered the wrong size screens and the wrong color screen on my slider. They said they would re-order them back in August. I have yet to get a confirmation phone, a call telling me they are in and NOBODY will call me back!! I've left several messages and when I did get a live person he said he would find my order and call me back. NEVER DID!!!! I've paid for these already and WANT MY ORDER!!!

Scammers! I ordered some decking materials over the phone. The price they quoted me was high but okay by me. Then they sent me an invoice which was way higher. I immediately called to cancel the order and was told it was done. 2 weeks later the materials showed up at my house anyway. I called to see what happened and they said they never got the cancellation (of course). I said I wanted to return them, and then they said they were non-returnable (convenient for them!). They checked with the mnufctrer and said they could except a return and would come pick them up. They made a big deal about how they were helping me out and that it would cost them a restocking fee. I checked my credit card to see if it was charged, and it was, but for way less than the invoice or quote (3 different prices for the same stuff). It took them 6 weeks to pick up the items. It took them another two weeks to refund my credit card. When I checked the refund, they only refunded me partially. I guess I am paying the $300 restocking fee for something I cancelled 5 minutes after I ordered it. 8 weeks, $300, a dozen phone calls for......NOTHING. Never again. I'll eat the $300 to not deal with Lampert and Andy again.

2 Years ago, we ordered a new front door and garage service door from Lamperts in Lake Elmo. The Salesman provided direction to me on how to measure our existing doors to make sure our order was correct and he walked me through the many options and pricing to narrow down the final selection. This help was critical in making our installation go smoothly. Having a quality door that was measured properly meant DIY installation by my husband and a friend went smoother than expected. Recently we had another unexpected project hit our plate and we needed some specialty T&G. I sent an e-mail over the weekend detailing what we needed. Monday they contacted me to clarify a few questions and by Tuesday they sourced the product and placed my order. The service I have experienced has been great down to delivery and the cost has been extremely competitive for the quality of product received.

Maybe if they would answer their phone I wouldn't have had to drive to the store to be told by a grouchy sales person they don't carry the product I was told by a distributor that they do carry. Cripes, I get better customer service from the pimply faced kids at Menards.

I was told by a distributor that this Lamperts carried their product. Just to be sure, I called three separate times to confirm. The phone was not answered any of those times. So, assuming they carried it I drove out to pick it up. After waiting for help a rude staffer told me they didn't carry it. If they would answer the phone it would have saved me a trip! You'll get better customer service at Menards, and that isn't saying much.

Lampert is a good place to go for more custom building materials than you can get in a big box store. Their hours are a bit short and the website doesn't have online browsing capabilities, but the selection and service are good when you go into the store.

Very poor service. No one calls you or informs you about your order after calling multiple times. No one seems to know what is going on or can give you an answer. If possible go somewhere else. This place sucks up a lot of your time.
