“I want to start out this review by saying that I have received nothing but exceptional service for the entirety of the time that I was a customer. In 9 years of service, I find it important to note that this is the only bit of frustration that I have encountered with this facility.
The trouble began when I was attempting to move out of the facility. I simply cannot justify the rental fees to keep my belongings nearly 200 miles away from where I live. And when I informed the folks responsible for maintaining the facility over the phone, they told me that they would begin levying arbitrary fees against me. This would have resulted in $500 in arbitrary fees in addition to a lien on my credit report. It is important to note that this situation was resolved by their superiors.
I got a hold of the district manager of the facility in Hutchinson. We discussed the terms of my rental agreement and eventually came to a resolution. I had originally offered him $500 to settle my account and avoid a lien, payable on the 4th of October. In my mind, this would more than cover any administrative overhead in clearing my account. He gave me a counter offer of $400, payable by the end of September.
It is important to note that they have been charging me twice the amount of rent that I agreed to and never properly informed me of my rent increase. According to the terms of my agreement, I can take them to court for several thousand dollars' worth of damages, in addition to nullifying any disposal or lien actions that are counted against me. It would simply be in small claims court.
But I'm not a spiteful person when it comes to business transactions. I took this gentleman up on his offer to pay my roughly $400 balance by the end of this month in order to clear liability from absolutely everybody. I was sure to mention that there may be a very slim chance that I cannot pay him until the 4th of October, but if that happens, we can discuss things then. All in all, the district manager was very professional and very courteous in resolving my issue.
I'm happy to say that all of my concerns have been addressed.”
