Classes are too full and out of control. Known aggressive dogs are allowed in the huge class. It’s chaos.

Total Recall is a fantastic place to train your dog. Sue Mills-Kothe is an expert dog trainer and applies training based on motivation & leadership principles - a very humane approach. Our 1 year old Shih Tzu, Romeo, would not go for walks with me. I took him to the beginner obedience class and he was walking with me after 1 lesson. Now he gets excited to go to training & we’re in the intermediate obedience class. We highly recommend Total Recall School for Dogs!

Total Recall Dog Training Center has two large training areas which have a great padded floor.Excellent instructors train the owner/handler to be the alpha in the relationship and give them the confidence to be so.Classes start at puppy obedience level and go up from there to intermediate, advanced and to a competition level if you wish.Therapy dog training and agility classes are also available.

I have completed the puppy obedience class with my 6 month old puppy and I am currently enrolled in beginner obedience and puppy agility. I have enjoyed all of the classes that I have completed this far. Greta was the trainer in the first class and now Sue is the trainer for the current class. Sue and Greta have a similar approach to training and my pup has learned so much from these classes! They take the time to answer questions and come up with solutions for any issues at home with your pup. I would recommend the daytime classes because there are less people in them. I am not looking forward to the day we have completed all of the classes because I enjoy coming here!

Brought in our 4-month puppy hoping to have help with his high energy and nipping, but we were not given much advice about it. The very serious and strict trainer told us to use Binaca breath spray in his mouth (which contains alcohol and can be dangerous to a puppy's eyes if missed, even though she said otherwise) and it barely helped- just irritated him more in the end. We started using air cans like Sentry (just for the noise) AWAY from my pup to lightly startle him and it works SO much better. Otherwise, she taught us very basic tricks he already knew and turned half the class into agility, which was fun, but not helpful at home. She also heavily advised the use of prong collars with VERY little instruction on proper handling- luckily I had that training before. Prong collars are NOT advised for puppies under 6mos old and are very dangerous if misused!!! Finally, at the very least we were hoping to use the class for socialization but the only time we could was on potty breaks as the trainer wanted us to stay separate. Class was very uncomfortable, gave dangerous advice, and taught us little usable information for home. We won't be coming here for our next puppy.

This is the second dog I have trained with at TOTAL RECALL. EVERY class you take you learn more, and Remember long forgotten tips. The progression of classes are perfectly designed to teach the handler and the dog more advanced things which results in the "Perfect dog" & human match.

We brought out pup here for beginner obedience and intermediate obedience and he loved it! He loved learning and it was always a great bonding experience! Sue and Glenn are wonderful people and awesome to work with!
