Dr. Beck is awesome!!! Our dog went into see her since he was a puppy. He’s had a few serious issues health wise that no other vets could help with. If you want a vet who cares about your animal and your pocket book, who is kind and caring enough to be sensitive about tough situations then you should go to PAWS and see Dr. Beck she’s honestly the best! 100% Truth.

Absolutely amazing Vet clinic with doctors and staff that actually care. Our husky had several issues throughout his life and we always leaned on Dr Michelle for both options and honest advice. Without a doubt, she gave us YEARS with our dog that we wouldn’t have had otherwise. We’ve laughed together and cried together. There is nowhere else I would trust with the care of my pets!

The staff at PAWS are all amazing! We had a recent health scare with my cat after visiting the emergency clinic. I called and spoke with Lori to make a follow up appointment. Lori took the time to move around schedules to get us in right away and was so compassionate and caring. Dr. Beck was awesome, extremely thorough and sat with us to explain everything that was going on and what the next steps would be. I could feel that everyone from the front desk staff, the techs, and the doctors truly care about my babies. We were treated with kindness and empathy in all of our interactions. I am so grateful for everyone at PAWS!

Our cockapoo Lily had some teeth removed at P.A.W.S. a couple years ago (2020) and was left blind in her left eye. After letting them know that the white of her left eye was very red the day after surgery, I was told to take a picture and send it and Dr. Beck would look at it. I sent the pic to the number given and no one ever followed up. Come to find out it was never even shown to Dr. Beck. Turns out Lily had developed acute glaucoma as a result of the needle hitting her left orb (most likely during administration of a nerve block). This was determined after a visit to an animal ophthalmology specialist, who knew immediately upon viewing the same picture that it was a dire situation. Apparently you have about 24 hours in such a situation to have any luck saving the eyesight. Unfortunately, for Lily it was too late :( Almost 3 years later, in addition to more vet visits and several bottles of expensive eye drops for controlling the pressure in her eye, we had to ultimately have that eye removed this year. Needless to say, I never went back to P.A.W.S.! They never took any responsibility whatsoever, nor did they offer any type of compensation for the follow-up care for their mistake.

End of life care is paternalistic and lacks empathy.Needed emergency euthanasia for my mom’s cat. They first put me on hold and forgot to talk to me. Called back and they insisted that my mom submit to a full examination before they administered euthanasia “for the best interest of the pet.” I understand the need to protect their patients when owners seek euthanasia, but that is a case-by-case situation and determination. They should not assume that people seeking a final appointment are wrong or seeking to harm their pets. An insulting and unempathetic exhange, where it felt like the clinic was seeking additional money and raising false hope from my very sad and grieving mom.

Very friendly vets, very sweet and knowledgeable. My dog had a blast there and they were able to do vaccines with such ease! The clinic currently makes you jump through some hoops for Covid reasons which is understandable it just seems a bit excessive. But this changes quite often it looks like so don’t let that scare you away!

I set up an appointment for my cat to get checked out and was told that the $50 deposit I put down would be put toward the cost of my appointment or refunded if I cancelled with 24 hours notice. They refuse to refund my deposit despite trying to call over the weekend and being unable to leave a voicemail due to their faulty answering service. Will not be pursuing treatment for any of my animals here. Greedy.

My cat had a serious illness, and my previous vet clinic couldn’t see him soon enough. PAWS ended up squeezing us in the next day so I was able to avoid the ER. Dr. Wisely and all the staff there are so thorough, patient, and kind. The price was pretty average too, well worth the money.. The doctor gave me lots of great advice, helped me cut costs where I could, and my cat was completely back to normal the following week.Last week, I brought my anxious dog into PAWS for her allergies, and again got exceptional service. I had spent so much time/money trying to help my dogs skin issues over the years, and Dr. Wisely came up with a plan that FINALLY worked. After a little over a week I’ve already seen so much improvement. I feel like this is the best care I’ve gotten at any vet in the twin cities. I won’t bring my pets anywhere else now.

I am very happy with the services this clinic provides when I am able to get my pet in. I feel like the team takes a genuine interest in my fur baby and from what I can tell, their pet health services are in line with clinics credentials and their prices are competitive. I knocked off 1 star because I believe this place could be so much more if the owners could invest more money back into the clinic to increase the availability for urgent care or build a relationship with at least one of the closest emergency vet clinics, which are all sadly at least 25 minutes away. As far as I'm aware, P.A.W.S. doesn't officially partner with any of the emergency vets, so it's hard to feel connected to guaranteed quality urgent care. That being said, if you search the internet and find that your pet's symptoms allow for a day or so of wait time, if you call exactly when this clinic opens Mon-Fri, you may get lucky enough to get one of their two daily urgent care openings. We've done this before and were very happy with the results. We have also missed out and had to take our pup to the Arden Hills emergency vet - just fyi, we received great service there as well.
