I can’t say enough good things about Otter Lake Animal Care Center! My dog recently had BOAS surgery and experienced some complications afterward. Dr. Scanlan and the entire team were absolutely amazing—they even stayed with him the night of the operation to ensure he was okay and provided me with regular updates. Their kindness, dedication, and genuine care have meant so much to me during a very stressful time. I’m thrilled to say that my dog is now home and doing well, all thanks to the exceptional care he received here. I highly recommend Otter Lake Animal Care Center!

The most wonderful vet clinic!!! We have received care from this vet for two dogs and cannot say enough about them. They truly care about pets and providing the best care for them. Talking us through their issues, running only the tests needed and letting us know the costs upfront. The vets and their care teams are all the absolute best!

Well, first time that I’ve ever been here it had good reviews, but I was honestly not impressed. When I walked in there was a gal sitting at the desk ignored me for quite a while, and then another gal walked up to the counter, was on the computer helping someone saw me standing there and just walked away. I had to ask for help, overpowering smell of Lysol didn’t seem or feel very clean in there at all. Went for my second check up for my cat and same thing happened with being ignored from the front desk person. No personality couldn’t answer Don’t think I’ll ever be back..

Best vet in Dr. Scanlan, and backup vet, Dr. Barb. We've trusted Dt. Scanlan for 30 years with our dogs.. The groomer Marie is also exceptional, so lovingto our dogs. Get discount for being senior citizen when seeing vet and grooming, and also get discount for two dogs bringing for grooming.

This place has unfortunately turned for the worse. I believe the staff is just taking on more than they can handle. I had my dog in and was just due for some vaccines. Because he is an older dog I asked for a senior wellness exam. The doc was in the room with me for no more than three minutes. Gave three vaccine shots, felt the dog over and said he didn’t have any concerns and then charged me $60 for the ‘wellness exam’. We will be going elsewhere moving forward.

This place is more worried about drinking coffee and chatting in the back then helping customers waited for about 3 minutes till anyone even noticed I was there. Horrible communication.

Dr Scanlon is a wonderful and caring vet with great staff. He is compassionate and truly wants what is best for the animals and also understands how pets and families go together. We've brought our boxers here for years and boarded them. No better place.
