“I ain't here to throw stones, so I'm not naming any names, but a different shop in the area won me over for my business helping me out of a bind years ago. I think that crew has moved on and my last few experiences were pretty not great.
A few months ago the alternator was going bad in the Mrs car. Friend of mine recommended Sparks a while back and we were able to limp it over. Even though they were closed, the fellow inside unlocked the door, took the car took her info and we had the thing back and running before dinner the next day.
Just last week, on the 3rd of July of all days I started misfiring. Young man behind the counter (and also on the phone) was incredibly helpful, super informative, and even complimented the stupid trendy electric skateboard I brought with me to get home on. It was a far cry from my last front desk experience with the aforementioned prior garage, who was so focused on chatting and ordering his sandwich he didn't even inform me my part of the conversation was done and I ended up standing there like a jackass for what felt like an eternity.
Again, they kept me posted, didn't cuss me out when I asked them to go back under the hood for a pump I forgot to mention, and I COULD have had the car back in time to make the 3 hour drive to the cabin that Friday.

But I made the Mrs drive instead anyways, we just fixed her car too after all

Oh and since I left it over the whole weekend, they even parked her in the garage for me.”

“Having experienced several poor visits at other car service shops, I decided to visit Youngstedts in Hopkins. Max, the man who took my scheduling call was great. He was knowledgeable, personable, and listened to what I had to say about my vehicle. He also worked up several quotes for new tires that I will need in short order and took into account several options that I wouldn't have considered had he not suggested them. The tech that worked on my car, sorry I don't remember his name, completed the work quickly and accurately and I couldn't be happier about my experience!”

“DAS is a great example of what seems like the very few companies who really stand behind their work. My first generation (1991) Miata’s AC was , by all research, a lost cause. They resurrected it at a fraction of the cost of replacement and when a 30 year old o-ring leaked, they replaced it - on warranty. My expectation was a reasonable charge for shop time - something most places would gleefully charge. These guys absorbed it. That’s the highest standard of excellence.”

“I cannot say enough good things about this repair shop. My car suddenly had an issue right before I was gonna drive 2hrs back home. I got a tow here and was absolutely blown away with the service I received, especially considering it’s a National chain. Other than being friendly, respectful, and keeping me updated they truly went above and beyond. They stayed open late just for me. At one point he had to drive elsewhere to get a specific tool to finish the job, and he made sure to lock the lobby door while he was gone so I was safe. While one mechanic was working, the other chatted and kept me company. And the following day he called to make sure everything went well and that I made it home safe.
