Let me begin by stating that when I first researched Bill’s Service Garage I was hopeful, optimistic based on the positive reviews. So optimistic I took 3 vehicles to Bill’s Service Garage for service. 2004 Chevy Silverado Z71 Pickup, 2011 Hyundai Equus Sedan and 2014 Jeep Patriot Latitude. Beyond unfortunate Bill Freiberg fleeced me for thousands of dollars with all 3 vehicles still requiring repairs.
Vehicle #1--2004 Chevy Silverado Z71 Pickup Truck was constantly, consistently draining the battery after sitting for a few days. I replaced the battery 2 times before taking to Bill’s Service Garage AKA (BSG). Bill stated he would do a diagnostic to locate and fix the problem that was last days of April 2024 and first week of May 2024. He diagnosed it as Driver’s Door Wiring Harness. He replaced the Driver’s Door Master Switch with a switch I provided which was brand new purchased online. I am under the impression the truck was completely fixed, that cost me $622. There are 4 strikes 1-4 for this truck. Character limit prevents details.
Total out of pocket for a truck that still drains the battery to the point of undrivable condition is $1222. No refund, nothing, just excuses and “I put a lot of time into the vehicle” as if we own the truck together or I haven’t paid him each time.
Vehicle #2---2011 Hyundai Equus Sedan would not maintain an idle and the idle was choppy until it shut off. I towed the car to BSG for diagnostics and repair options. BSG stated that he saw sludge for oil and believed “it could be the timing chain”. He didn’t want to dive further into it as he called it a “Hornets Nest” of potential issues. He did however remove part of the engine manifold. Unfortunately he did not put back together the engine manifold instead leaving a box of bolts to the manifold in the car. I had the car towed to another mechanic where they have to charge me $300 just to put back together the engine manifold to diagnose the engine problem. So I am out $300 because BSG could not do me the righteous courtesy of putting back what they took apart. Strike 5.
Vehicle #3---2014 Jeep Patriot Latitude SUV was showing a temperature gauge that would occasionally, intermittently then constantly rise when driven or idling. Prior to bringing the SUV to BSG I had the thermostat, thermostat housing, thermostat sensor replaced on the SUV and I explained all the previous repairs, diagnostics performed once I brought the Jeep to BSG in May 2024 to address the Temperature Gauge Issue, BSG diagnosed it as a bad “Water Pump”. I proceeded to provide a new customer purchased water pump for BSG to install which they did. A new bill, I forget the amount but was above $300
Fast forward to the middle of June 2024, the temperature gauge was still showing to rise to ¾ high and a squealing noise while at idle. Brought it back to BSG to diagnose again, they claim the water pump was leaking onto the serpentine belt and the water pump was bad. Really? OK? BSG in turn replaces the water pump with 1 they purchase and install a new serpentine belt, radiator cap and fill the radiator with Stop leak. No warranty? Another bill of $300 or more to pay. There are 2 Strikes for this SUV 6-7, character limit prevents details
In summary: 2004 Chevy Silverado Z71 Pickup Truck still has a battery drain making the truck un-drivable.
2011 Hyundai Equus Sedan Engine manifold bolts left in a box on the passenger seat, not reinstalled on the engine as they found it.
2014 Jeep Patriot Latitude rising temperature gauge making the SUV almost un-drivable due to potential overheating.
In total I am out roughly $3000-$3500 for 3 vehicles with no working vehicles from BSG. A warranty is only as good as the company, person who offers it. It's about integrity, honor, honesty and if the company or person has none, you have no warranty.
I give Bill’s Service Garage ZERO Stars, No Recommendatio

The best.
I usually do my own work but the job I needed done was too much for me to tackle on my own in a driveway. So I trusted bill and his team to get the job done, and did they deliver!
Got it back the same day. Bill saw us walking to the shop to pick up the vehicle and offered us a ride.
On top of all that, they also fixed the hood latch.
This is the only shop I will use. Incredible service

A very honest and customer driven service garage. Bill's communication was superb, got my car back in the same day with a very reasonable price. I can honestly say he's gained a repeat customer for all of my car repair needs in the Hopkins and St. Louis area. Thanks again Bill!
