In mid-December 2021 I developed a plugged heater core. The next day, a very cold one, I needed to drive a friend on a 500 mile round-trip medical appt.It was a bit of an emergency job and Dave made room for me that morning to unplug the core and flush and fill the coolant system. For that I thank Him.After two hours of work, noon lunchtime, I was told the vehicle was ready to go.After I paid nearly $200 bucks I was informed that they did not flush and refill the coolant system because they ran out of time and it was lunch break. They only unplugged the core. The coolant was still gunky from stopleak put in by the previous owner.Dave suggested the best fix would be to replace the core, a $900 job minimum, even though it did not need replacing.Because the system was not flushed and cleaned, which I paid to have done, I made it 50 miles before the heater core plugged again. The next 450 miles were an awfully cold drive, -15 cold and no heat in the vehicle.When I got home I personally backflushed the core and flushed and cleaned the coolant system and now have good heat.My complaint is this. If Dave didn't have the time to do the job properly and as I had paid for he should not have accepted the repair work.2+ hours is plenty of time to do the job properly and I ended up wasting $200, freezing a frail buddy nearly to death, and doing the job myself in 1 1/2 hours.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Dave is a friendly business owner, he makes the time to answer the phones, and made sure he ran the quote and prices of parts and work before proceeding with the work. And I value his opinion. He's very knowledgeable. It's hard to find a trustworthy body shop, this one you can surely trust, after getting my car back it ran so much better. Dave does quality work!!

I recently went to Dave's West Howard Auto for the first time. I found that they were friendly, knowledgeable, and communicated well with me about my truck. I went in believing that my calipers were sticking. When my truck was test driven it did not act up for them. When it came down to it Dave did not try and push changing the calipers since they couldnt 100% confirm the calipers were the problem. I did however have them change my calipers since I needed the truck for work and just wanted to be on the safe side. On top of it, even with having a busy schedule they took the time to get me my truck back as fast as possible so that I had it for work. I will be going back for any other repairs I need done.

Treats his employees like absolute crap. Car was there ready to get fixed and I decided to take it elsewhere because of it. Couldn't believe how downgrading he is to his employees.
