We love Nick's Meats. I have been going there my entire life and I love their summer sausage and beef jerky. If you are looking for a great local grocery with friendly service and quality meats, this is the place! I would highly recommend stopping in if you are driving by or visiting Hayward.

Just got our meat back. I know it was probably my fault but I didn't get everything I thought I would. I was told I should have ordered it. Usually when I made a order the guy would go over my choices. Guy that took my order this time did not. I forgot. They should take alittle longer with you when you place your order and give you the options.. I'm not a butcher . Meat is good costomer service not.

I had been dying to go here since we stopped at the gas station on I35 in Albert Lea that sells their beef sticks and summer sausage, which was YEARS ago. I FINALLY got the opportunity to make a trip to Nick's. I stocked up on Beef sticks and sausage, obviously, but I was surprised to find some seasonings and soup mix that were unique and delicious as well. Nick's is located in a tiny town outside of Albert Lea. It's work the extra 15 min to get there and browse the freezer, coolers, AND the meat counter.
