The key of this dealer having success is great salesman and Dan Plank. We bought a platinum Ford Explorer that had prior damage I found during the first two weeks - that hasn’t been disclosed on the auto report (not the dealers fault). Once I found prior pictures of the car on a google search I no longer felt safe with the car and the dealer couldn’t provide details of the repairs (where they were done, by ford, did the airbags have hammers in them now?). Instead of telling me it’s my problem, Dan Plank helped us get a new 2022 Ford Explorer XLT (not at all what we wanted or came to buy - still disappointing) so we could have a safe vehicle and helped us navigate the nightmare of swapping a recently bought used vehicle out for a new one. After 5-6 visits to the dealer to get everything figured out we finally took home our new Explorer. The main concern for me was having a safe vehicle for my pregnant wife and future baby.My trade in vehicle ended up going down to Florida where the person who bought it drove through tolls with my old MN plates. I sent these toll tickets to the dealer and they paid them - only due to Dan Plank - no one else was helpful after multiple calls and messages. Needless to say if you’re trading in a vehicle here - remove your plates! If we return here it’ll only be to work with Dan Plank and if he leaves we’ll go to whatever dealer he works at.Bottom line: I would buy a new car here but not a used one.

After talking to Dan Plank about the noise of exterior loudspeaker he agreed to try to remedy the problem in our neighborhoods. I'm happy to report a very peaceful and quiet 2 weeks. Thank you Dan for being a man of your word .... we all hope the quiet continues!

If I could rate them at 0 I would do that. They have the worst service department. DO NOT USE THEM!Brought our truck in they had it over a week. They misdiagnosed it and said it was fixed. The very next morning the same issue started again. Obviously they don't do any testing afterwards. Second time we brought it in, they had it two days to diagnose the problem again but they had no parts. I understand they may have to order parts which is fine. We had them order the part but give the truck back until part came in. Third trip now, parts come in and made an 8:30 an appointment. We were told it's a 3-4 hour job. So we think it should be done that day. It's not how it works. We finally got the vehicle after 3 days of them installing this part. They have 7 technicians so I'm told. Don't know if there incompetent or poorly managed. They have no loaners ever, so you're basically without a car.

Extremely disappointed that I can’t write a five star review, because we had a great time interacting with the wonderful staff in the two days we spent at this location trading in our Hyundai for an Explorer. We’ve never been so frustrated about management and whoever is in charge of buying and selling at a dealership. Such a shame, too, because we gave them even more business bringing my brother here to buy a truck the same week.1. The initial report on the used explorer we originally purchased did not disclose prior accidents. After the first day driving on the highway it was clear this vehicle had serious damage, and after simple research of the VIN (we learned our lesson, google it before you buy!!) we discovered this car had been totaled in CA and the title was washed when it came to MN. We were able to forgive all the negligence but we did not get a “deal” or refund, we basically were limited to purchasing a new car that was on the Hastings lot or keeping the damaged goods. We played it safe with a new car.2. Not a month or two later, we started getting toll tickets for the Hyundai we traded in, and come to find out the dealer never took care of the DMV titling to remove us - which they are required by law to do. Now we have no idea who owns this car and our credit is being impacted because of unpaid tickets in other states! We’ve reached out to management numerous times and we don’t even get a call back. This solidifies our decision to never purchase a vehicle here again.

5 star service department. I live out of town and had a window that wouldn't go back up. Driving back to KC would have been a problem! Service understood my problem and went above and beyond to get me back on the road. HIGHLY RECOMMEND one of my top 2 customer service experiences.

The staff here, whether I am speaking to them via phone or in person, is incredibly helpful, friendly and genuinely care about giving you the best service. I just had my car detailed for an extremely low price. I felt like I sat into a brand new vehicle. Bruce even called me before starting the detailing to see if I wanted any additional service, and how much that would cost. So there is a lot of transparency at this dealership and in the service department. Nothing hidden or surprising when I paid. I also drive two fleet vehicles and they have taken excellent care of both of them and leave no stone unturned when it comes to recalls and thoroughly checking out the vehicles.Thank you. You have a repeat customer.

I originally considered Line x. But. The local dealership was 400$ less per job. I worked with Bruce who gave me info on his products was flexable too my schedule and even gave me a lift back too home while i waited and after it was done. They were fast and cheerful. I even had a few spots i wanted extra product on and it was no issue to go back and add some under body coat n rust stop were i wanted. All in great exp. I will bring them more vehicles.

Late post but I would like to give a shout out to Allen Spear and Aaron. Spent months searching car dealerships all across the country searching for the perfect Bronco. I found that match 1200 miles away and immediately inquired. Allen reached out to me the following morning and immediately went to work on closing the deal as well as going above and beyond sending me a video tour of the vehicle and all the teachers.Arron with finance made the finance process as smooth as possible and made it one of the easiest purchases I’ve ever made and got me a deal that no other dealer came close to.Purchaseing a car can be a headache and when doing it 1200 miles away that can be quite nerve racking but Allen and Aaron made it easy and smooth as can be as well as documented the entire pick up when my auto transport arrived. They made sure I got my Bronco in flawless condition. Hands down the best auto experience I’ve ever had and I can’t thank them enough!

I can’t speak highly enough for the team here at Hastings Auto. Zero pressure and a joy to shop here. Salesmen Carlos and Sam are truly professional through and through. I’ve now purchased three vehicles from them and won’t be purchasing from anywhere else. We recently purchased a used Ford F-150 from Hastings Automotive and had a very positive experience. Carlos was assigned to us and he was really great to work with when we first inquired and when we arrived at the dealership. He was very honest and transparent, which we really appreciated. Gary helped us find the best rate and made the financing and paperwork signing process painless and fun. This is how buying a used car should be and we would defiantly go back there again.

We recently completed the purchase of a brand new Ford Bronco Sport at Hastings Ford and wanted to share our experience. We worked with Zach, who is probably the most chill salesman I've worked with. He was a pleasure to go through the process with. He was knowledgeable about the product, low-pressure, and helpful during the negotiation process. In the end, he helped us get a deal we were comfortable with. If you are around the twin cities, I strongly suggest a trip to Hastings for your new car purchase. It was really nice to escape the hustle and bustle of the dealerships closer to home, to get a bit more attention and a less rushed process. Thanks to everyone - we'll be back.

Came in looking for a vehicle for my son. There were challenges getting my son Financed but they were able to get him into a vehicle he was proud to own.Allen and Aaron had THE BEST customer service.
