We are in the area for the summer and needed a vet for our 3 mini dachshunds. Two of them went in for routine services and one had to have an emergency visit this week. They worked us in and were very accommodating. We had great experiences and are very happy to have found a compassionate vet in Grand Rapids!

Dr. Vickie is the best vet for shy hounds—she is gentle, assesses quickly, and takes all the time needed to treat her patients. Dr. Vickie and vet tech Eric helped my 3yo furry girl feel right at home.

I called today for a dog I'm fostering due to the animal acting very strange and the lady I talked too was so rude towards me. She was very pushy, appeared as tho she had no time to talk and told me that my financial problems didn't pertain to this situation. She out right refused to schedule an appointment. I finally hung up on her due to her rudeness and miss guided attitude towards my explanations. I will never EVER call them again!! North Country vets will be my ONLY place for any animal I now take care of!!!

If I could give this place zero star I would in a heart beat. Don’t let them fool you, they do not care about your pets all they see if dollar signs walking in the door. Our lab got into the garbage and we were thinking she ate chicken bones as she was bleeding from her rear end. They told us they would not see her because of the fact that she had not been there in the last two years, but if she had been there recently they would try to help her in some way. What an absolute heartless thing to say to someone who has an animal with possible internal bleeding. These people are awful. Please do not trust these people with your furry family members
