“I remembered that store from 30 years ago.
Downtown Grand Marais what can I say. The people working we're very kind considerate and helpful. And had a very good knowledge of the spirits and beers that were brewed locally.
Because you know being the average tour-ron ( tourist / moron) with our pathetically American desire for indulgence in the rendition of local flavors we're forced to ask about certain beverages.
Well she was or the person that accompanied me was. I on the other hand wanted to four pack of Heineken and a pint of cheap vodka. I can go anywhere in the world and with little effort and virtually no comprehension of the local dialects find what I want.
The first time I went to that store I wasn't old enough to buy alcohol. That was many years ago things have changed.”

“Wow what a great place! The best kind of places are the ones you just kind of stumble upon and not the ones you see plastered all over the internet. We were hungry and this placed looked like a nice place to grab a bite and wow what an amazing place.Amazing modern yet outdoorsy ambiance overlooking Poplar Lake but the food was what was noteworthy here.I highly recommend the Haus Burger....MMMmmmm good. Whatever they had in that sauce was amazing. The french fries were also excellent and unique as they were almost a hybrid of a steak fry and a chip.Highly recommend and we will be stopping here on a regular basis when we travel to the Nort' Woods”
