“There’s no where else I’d rather stay on the Gunflint Trail. We’ve stayed in the campground and one of the king deluxe cabins. The cabin had everything we needed. The people who work there are so kind, and the facilities are great. They are incredibly dog friendly.”

“Perfect location for snowmobilers. 2 reasons it only gets 4 stars: The hot tub isn't very hot. It's warm. And parking for trucks with snowmobile trailers is tight.”
“We recently stayed at The Shack, the only cabin open during the winter at Loon Lake Lodge, and had a wonderful time, despite recent rain foiling our plans to go cross-country skiing. The cabin is in a beautiful setting just above Loon Lake, with trail access right outside the door. Thanks to Andrea's recommendation to bring spikes, we were able to go on some excellent (at times icy) hikes and enjoy the quiet beauty of the BWCA. The night skies are amazing just outside the cabin door. The cabin is very clean and comfortable and has all the amenities you need for a wonderful retreat!”
