20 1st St, Grand Marais“A quick stop in Grand Marais, MN in the convenience store. Folks were friendly. And the place looks small from the outside but they had many rows of food /drink options.
The ice coolers out front had a nice visual wrapper of outdoor scenes worthy of a photo. What a great idea!”

5 MN-61, Grand Marais“Just enough to supplement your basic needs at a reasonable and inexpensive price, compared to places such as Super One, etc.Helpful and friendly staffAnd they sell local homemade Sylta! I’ve never had it before, so I had to try it and it was fantastic in my breakfast hash!”
“As an out of town visitor who goes camping in the region annually, I consistently have stopped here for final necessities. The selection is good and the food is fresh. I tend to cook moderately complex stuff over a campfire, so having a resource with varieties like this place does help me a lot. I also enjoy the friendly service.Anyone hiking/camping from Cascade up to Judge Magney can appreciate having Gene's IGA to depend on.”
“It is the cutest organic food store around. They have a wide variety of items for those that want to eat clean or have allergies. The store was very organized and reasonably priced. I love the Grand Marais offers this to the residents and guests.”
