Nice staff, but extremely expensive. I filed simple taxes and it cost 170$ . They didn’t tell me the price until after they were done.

H& R block is by far the best tax place ever. Being new to taxes since my husband passed away, I was scared and don't know what to expect but I was shocked at the reception and care I received every step of the way. Karen R is very welcoming, explained everything in details, and went above and beyond to assist me till the end. I will definitely recommend h&r block to everyone I know including those new to me. Rick did a great job on the taxes for me and 2 of my kids! He is knowledgeable, thorough, timely, asks good questions and is a good listener. I first submitted my info on Sat 04/16/2023 and Rick started working on my return that day. He gave me call to touch base, which I appreciated. I used to do my own taxes w/ Turbo Tax, but switched a few years ago. This is much less stressful for me and my wife.

We made an in-person appointment because we're a working family with kids in after-school activities, so time is always tight. In 2022, we had an appointment and were seen 20+ minutes after our scheduled time. We chalked it up to a busy day for them.This year (2023), we made an appointment (weeks ahead of the deadline), and we're kept waiting while our advisor was on the phone with someone else. At the 20-minute mark, I let the from desk know that we were leaving. At this point, hearing our pending departure, our advisor came from around the corner and stated she was now ready. When I stated that the same thing happened last year, it was rebutted with "well, it's the end of the season, and it's busy so.....". This was more than two weeks from the deadline.Nice people, but poor with time management. When we get charged nearly $300 for fairly simple taxes, I expect my time to be respected. Clearly, it is not.
