In March 2021 we got a call from the owner stating several units had locks cut and ours was one of them. After a week of back and fourth trying to meet up with the owner, we were finally able to view our unit. To our relief nothing was missing. The owner assured us that this sometimes happens and the thieves are looking for high-end smaller items to quick grab and go. Since we really didn't have anything like that we figured all was good, we replaced the lock and moved on. On August 24, 2021 my husband and son went to our storage to retrieve their bows. Well guess what?? I bet you can! Everything was GONE!! YEP GONE, snowblower, compound bows, 5 - 45lb spools of wire, 4 wheeler, fish house, all of our fishing equipment, hunting gear, chain saws, the list goes on and on. Someone please explain to me how someone can enter a locked storage area with trucks and trailers and the owners have no explanation?? Much like the other Google review pertaining to theft owners were of absolute no help, police asked why we didn't have our own personal surveillance, what? please, if you value your belongings DON'T USE HALLBERG STORAGE IN FOREST LAKE!!

I rented a unit for a year and it was broken into twice. All of the units in the immediate area of mine were broken into as well at least once...I noticed their bolts cut like mine.Management wasn't eager to look into security footage (and didn't)even when we knew the second break-in happened within a 5 day window and it would be easy to spot someone pulling out from my unit with my large property that had been stolen. I never shared my access code with anyone. I don't recommend using this facility.

We have had a small storage unit here for some time at a very reasonable $40 a month not climate controlled but secure and what we have had in storage stays dry. We have been happy with the service and have had no problems supply your own lock
