I enjoy the variety of programs including boot camps, HIIT, yoga, strength and personal training, as well as boxing to name a few. The trainers are incredibly experienced, supportive and challenge us to reach our full potential. Nutrition is a primary component of all programs, including continuous learning and always sharing resources. “When I joined Studio ME six months ago, I had a clear goal in mind — get strong enough to keep up with my Colorado friends in the mountains of East Greenland. By committing to twice weekly bootcamp classes, I strengthened all the muscles that I would use for climbing and skiing. Adding on some RowEndurance classes helped me build up my cardio tolerance and taught me to pace myself. My coaches (esp. Sami) took the time to teach me how to lift and why it was important, while all my peers were encouraging and welcoming.All of this programming and support made a huge difference when it came time to ski tour in Greenland. For multiple days in a row, we spent 8-10 hours daily in the backcountry— climbing uphill for elevation gains between 2,000 and 3,000 feet and traversing from 7 to 10 miles each day, with a few epic ski descents in between. There is no way I would’ve been able to sustain this level of activity and effort without my training at Studio ME. Thank you to the whole community!”

“Love this kickboxing-classes gym with great music during their classes! Very beginner friendly. This is the location on Selby Ave in St Paul, and it is so much fun! Every other day is weightlifting classes, and included with the membership is nutrition coaching. Incredibly positive coaches with so much experience. Classes are available Monday-Saturday in the mornings and in the late afternoon/evening. Online classes are also available. Weightlifting is with dumbbells and exercise bands, which promotes great results. No direct sparring (whew!) but rather, you often pair up and share a punching bag (often one person is punching/kicking while the other person does body-weight exercises). Lots of diversity in the classes: Black, white, hIspanic, LGBTQ+, all ages, teachers, nurses, social workers, electricians, overweight, fit…and they are incredibly open to newbies—don’t think that you have to be an amazing expert to start here. :-) They often have specials where you can get the first week free to try it out! They often have 10-week challenges (one person at the location wins $1000!) but you can join in at any time. Most people don’t wait for a challenge to start classes, they just start coming, and then join a challenge when one comes up (about four times a year). Classes are “gamified” in a really fun way that I’ve never seen before, there is email (and Facebook group) support, and everything is done to make the classes as effective, safe, fun, and supportive as possible. Wow!That’s me in the picture. You can’t really tell in the photo, but I’ve lost my Covid-gut in the 2 months I’ve been going! It’s been incredibly good for my mental health, which in turn helps me be not only more effective at work, but also be a more patient and positive family member.”

“I've been a member since May 2021 and love working out at this gym! The first year I learned that "scaling is cool", weightlifting is great (didn't have barbell experience), and cross training really helps with other life activities like half marathons, rock climbing, general fitness, & acceptable caloric intake. The second year I challenged myself to get stronger and faster. And now in year 3, my coaches are encouraging me to work on more challenging movements and helping me improve my technique. They truely want you to "get better" every day and meet you where you are at. The best part about this gym is the community membership - from social outings to workout encouragement, this group of people is what makes the gym home. The workouts are challenging and include a lot of variety - never boring.The trainers have always been extremely friendly, motivating and helpful in their instruction, making sure we use correct form, while always helping us to maximize the workout.Our current instructor, Grant, is extremely friendly, helpful and fun. I always leave feeling I had a good workout and was glad I came. It's always good to look forward to a workout rather than dreading it!
