I had to find a new salon for a cut and highlight after seeing the same hairdresser for 37 years! Needless to say I was a bit anxious. I picked Ginger Salon because of it's location and more importantly excellent reviews.
Cindy at Ginger Salon did not disappoint!! This may have been the nicest cut and color I've ever had. She took time to really get to know what i was looking for. Very calm pleasant stylist with lots of experience and passion for her job.
The environment was also pleasing with big windows looking at Excelsior mainstreet. I'll definitely be back. Thank you Cindy for making my day.

I've been to this salon in the past and had a good experience but this time I feel extremely disappointed. I came in with several pictures showing what I wanted. I specifically said I wanted to leave with a new look. The service took 3 hours and cost me $295 before tip and I my hair looks exactly the same. Hardly any layering, hardly any noticeable color. For the price and the time it took I was really expecting more of a change. Just feeling very disappointed and ripped off.

I have (or should I say had) very long hair. Maybe I wasn’t clear, but I asked for basically a trim- a couple inches max off the bottom with a few long layers. What I got was *atleast* 3-4 inches off the bottom with horribly short, choppy layers. I nearly cried when I got to my car. No way to really “fix it”- once it’s gone, it’s gone. I certainly am not interested in having more taken off in an effort to make it look better. All I can do now is wait for it to grow out and try to find a more conservative stylist in the future who will actually listen to and honor my requests. I caution anyone who has very long hair or doesn’t want much cut off to avoid Cindy at Ginger Salon.

After seeing the same person for my hair for 17+ years, i was a little nervous to try something new. Honestly there was no need for the nerves! katlyn was so welcoming and friendly that I was immediately comfortable. She was knowledgeable with curly hair and was so encouraging with her suggestions. Very pleased with the service and will go back!

My daughter is 11 years old, is mixed race, and has curly hair. So, it's difficult to find someone to do her hair. Ginger Salon has free consultations, which ensured we are on the same page. My daughter loves Katelyn, not only because she does wonders with curly hair, but because she's personable and listens to my daughter's request.
