Chris came to our home to paint our son’s bedroom. After 6 years we started converting our son’s room from a nursey to a big boy room. We wanted blue and orange in our son’s room because he loves Blippi. We know in the future when he outgrows that we can make blue and orange work for Hot Wheel theme or something else. We originally were going to do a border on the upper parts of the wall, but decided last minute to do one wall all orange and the rest of the room blue. Chris made it fun by painting on the outlets and light switches (we had made previous paint mistakes on them he was trying to cover up). We live in a cookie cutter twin home that was quickly built, so not much thought went into room design (our rooms in our home have awkward corners and edges to get around while painting). This made it challenging, but in Chris’ work you can’t tell it was a challenging task because it was done professionally. The most challenging wall in the room was the wall chosen for orange. It was a very bright orange we had mixed. Chris completed three layers of orange so it wasn’t too bright for a bedroom, and it is the perfect orange we hoped for (not too bright and not too dark). Chris was able to complete our son’s room in about 3 hours. We hired him on because we have a special needs son and doing even simple projects in the home is challenging with his needs. Our son’s room is refreshed for his needs and our son is so excited for his new room.Service: Interior painting

Chris Auen did a fantastic job on our bedroom walls.From paint selection, determining the amount, and paint finish recommendations, Chris was knowledgeable and helpful throughout the process.He did an excellent job preparing our walls for painting. Since we had really rough-looking walls with many holes, bulges, and old paint drips, our walls required much prep work. Chris was able to smooth out our walls, patch up gaps, and they look as good as new. Additionally, I was thrilled to hear that he does two coats usually. On some of our walls, since they were in rough shape, he did three coats which makes me very happy, and the overall appearance is far superior to an individual that only does one coat.I will hire Chris again in the future, as he does quality work promptly and is very easy to communicate with. Painting myself is different from having a professional such as Auen Painting Company Interior & Exterior Service with his overall experience and ability not to get paint where it should not be.Services: Interior painting

This was our second time using Auen Painting, Chris painted our house exterior a few years ago and we were pleased with the project; he just finished our kitchen and we are thrilled with the results. The workmanship is excellent. All the cabinet doors were taken for sanding & painting. The prep work was really solid with a great deal of care. We were able to still have access to the kitchen (fridge / sink, etc). We highly recommend Chris.!!!
