My fiancé and I had a terrific experience with Van Guilders from start to finish. We looked at numerous jewelers in the Twin Cities and determined that Lisa from Van Guilders was the best to work with. We needed a custom engagement ring, and Lisa was patient, sympathetic, and helpful in sharing her experience and knowledge. We felt valued as individuals, and communication was excellent throughout the process.If you need custom work, we highly recommend them. They did not charge for a CAD mock-up, and the entire process, from drafting the idea on a piece of paper to ordering in the unique stones, to the CAD mockup, and finally to the finished product, only took three weeks!We will absolutely return for our wedding bands and any future jewelry needs!

Van Guilder's has been my families go to shop when it comes to the best service with long-term trust-worthy staff, and most importantly top notch quality and designs of jewelry!! The people who work at Van Guilder's have never treated me nor my jewelry poorly which I really can say I appreciate. My family and myself will continue to recommend others to go to Van Guilders for their jewelry needs, and of course our own!! Thank you for your work Van Guilders!!

I took a ring there to be resized. When I went to pick it up, I immediately noticed it had a different sapphire. I asked “what happened to my sapphire? That’s not my sapphire!”Their response was “Oh”. When I pressed further and demanded an answer, they admitted to “losing” it. But could not tell me how it got lost. They said, “It must’ve been when we were cleaning it.” They apparently don’t know how they lost it, which concerns me even more!I believe this is theft by swindle. Stay away from this store! I’m still trying to get a proper replacement sapphire from them two months later!Dishonest, not reputable, and they also did $300 worth of damage to my gold band! I no longer have a ring I can wear.

This business tried to swap out my sapphire without telling me when I brought my ring in to be resized. I noticed immediately when I went to pick up my ring that it wasn't my stone. They did not notify me that the stone was missing and when I asked, they couldn't tell me how it got lost. I've tried for two months to get a proper replacement for it, and they refuse to replace it with the same quality sapphire. In addition, they damaged my gold band at a cost of $295 to repair. Van Guilder's is dishonest, has terrible customer service and are not reputable. Avoid this jewelry store like the plague!

I have never had such a positive and warm experience shopping anywhere. My fiance and I were shopping for wedding rings. The staff was so encouraging and helpful. We will be back.

We have been customers of Van Guilder's going back decades. My wife lost a diamond from a ring Martin designed and crafted for us over 20 years ago. Lisa called and gave us an estimate as to the costs and it was repaired and brought up to new specs in a couple of days. These people are good. G. Nystrom

You can't beat the sincerity, transparency and ease of working with this jeweler. They do repairs, watch batteries and appraisals all onsite, in real time (vs. the nearby alternative asking you to drop items off to be transferred to St. Paul, requiring a return trip for pick-up, taking days longer with much higher fees).

I stopped in to ask about jewelry cleaning and resizing for a couple pieces. They were very helpful in explaining the processes for both and making recommendations. I felt that they were honest and didn't try to push any services that I didn't need, which I really appreciated. I would recommend coming here for jewelry services.

Highly recommended, excellent service. I worked with Lisa and she repaired a wedding ring, replacing a missing diamond. The resulting ring looks great and I received it just in time for Valentines day.

Very nice shop. I went in to pick out a wedding ring. I was surprised how much wedding ring inventory there was because it wasn't shown on their web sight. I found a beautiful unique ring and they sized it and and had it appraised while I went to lunch.That's unheard of these days. Every where else they have to send it off somewhere and you don't take it home with you. Friendy knowledgeable staff. Quality jewelry.

Awww, the staffs here are so nice and versatile. I went in thinking I was going to meet some super professional and uptight judgemental people, but they have tattooed employees in here too! It made me feel comfortable and welcomed. They were also the only people that was able to resize my dog's collar!
