Worst customer service experience ever!!! Still waiting on replacement items as they shipped me damaged goods. It’s been 12 months, 6 different customer service representatives and no resolve. Do yourself a favour and shop at Crate & Barrel

“Did you purchase through the store or online”—pottery barn salesperson.Purchasing a dining room table and chairs is a not a small purchase nor a quick decision, so viewing the product in store seemed wise. After talking with a very knowledgeable salesperson on the floor, I was ushered to a designer who would help me make sure the table fit my space. And despite my two emails to give dimensions and photos of the room, I never heard from that designer again.So, after mulling over the decision and looking at other stores and products, I purchased a table and chairs online, but seeing there was a large “white glove delivery fee” (includes assembly and delivery to room), I called the same store to see if I could have items sent to store for pick up instead. “No,” and that large $450 “white glove delivery fee” was non-negotiable.So, I purchased online (after the not very helpful in store communications and no email follow up from designer). The table arrived but the very heavy item left at front door and not assembled. No chairs either.After two separate 30 min+ phone conversation with 1-800-#, I have been told I did pay, then didn’t pay, then did pay for “white glove delivery service.” I was told someone would contact me to schedule assembly, (but given a wrong phone number to contact assembly crew). And no one has called me to schedule assembly of table or the delivery of chairs.This has been a week long process of our boxed dining room table sitting outside my house. Finally my husband and I had to lift the box with a dolly into our home because it began to drizzle and worried about the large box with our expensive table outside for several nights.Before calling the 1-800# again today, I decided to call the store to see if they could be of assistance, “did you purchase the table in store?”… “then I can’t help you”—salespersonExtremely disappointed in the lack of help and assistance with their products. Who cares if it’s in store or online it is the same product. If the pottery barn salespeople know delivery and assembling for furniture will be this big of a headache and problem for its customers, maybe online furniture purchases shouldn’t be an option, OR be honest with the customer: There will definitely be issues when ordering assembly and delivery for furniture, so it’s strongly advised you order with an in-store salesperson. Because if you don’t order from me, I won’t help you with delivery or assembly problems.For such a special item that will stay with us for long time, the memories surrounding it have been tainted. I actually thought this purchase would be better than Wayfair.My nasty google review of PB

I have been wanting something's online. I just wanted to see and feel in person before I purchased my items. A woman asked if she could help me, right off the bat it did not seem genuine and as if she was in a rush. She took me to what I was interested in, then said oh we don't have that in that size. Didn't offer to help me look at anything else or order it. Simply told me to look at the store across from them. I did, they had nothing close to what I wanted. I went back into the Pottery Barn hoping for help, no one seemed to want to acknowledge my existence.

Beautiful store. Always having creative ideas for table, wall, and home decorations. They create an exquisite experience especially during the holidays. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Just walking in the door gets my creative juices flowing. It’s very clean and well stocked.

The store manager Hope, was very helpful in sorting out an order error. She performed the necessary steps to engage corporate to reverse shipping charges on the incorrect order and obtained the expired sale price on the reorder. She did all of this with a big, welcoming smile on her face greeting arriving customers while she waited on the phone. She's amazing. Everyone should shop here!

They go above and beyond!!! Daniella was an amazing associate!! She spent an hour helping me figure out my registry when an online problem occurred and trouble-shooted and called customer service herself to resolve my issue. She was so patient and so kind to me and I appreciated her dedication to service. I am so thankful I had her help me. Hope also was amazing- she stepped in when Daniella needed managerial support. She was so understanding, kind, and so helpful to me. I highly highly recommended both of these women as excellent communicators, customer service liaisons, and friendly problem-solvers. I will continue to rave about Pottery Barn because they went above and beyond for me!

Poor customer service at the cashier. After waiting next in line for 15 min behind customers who were working through multiple purchases, returns, and other issues, one cashier finally decided to inform us that there was an additional checkout open in a different part of the store. I have no idea why it took her so long to speak up, since it sounded like this other checkout had been open the entire time. It also didn’t appear that anyone was actually manning the other checkout once we headed that way. We ended up leaving the store without making any purchases and don’t plan to bother with this location again. By contrast, the Crate and Barrel in the same mall provided great service.

I purchased a wood table from PB and within a matter of months, the top split at the seam. The table was at my cabin, and seldomly used. I contacted customer service and they refused to even discuss options (including me purchasing a new top), because I had the table for more than 30 days. Even Ikea furniture has a 10- year warranty. Although they did offer to send me a certificate for 10% off a new purchase. No thanks! I will never shop there again.

If you are working with time frames I would not recommend ordering from this store. I placed an order for a bed in early November with an estimated delivery window between November 19- December 3. They knew that I was going to be out of town for the entire month of January and I needed it before then. No updates on any delays. Bed is finally in and ready for delivery the 2nd week in January. I finally had the bed delivered yesterday and see it is on sale. They refuse to adjust the price or refund my delivery fee with all of this inconvenience. Terrible customer satisfaction. Will not be shopping here again.
