Edina Pet Hospital is the best! Our dog is very closed off to strangers and gets very anxious at the vet. All of the Edina Vet Hospital staff from the receptionists to the vet techs to the vets are always very respectful and non-judgmental of our stressed pup. The vet and receptionists were extremely thorough when she had to get a tooth extracted and called every morning for a few days after to check in on her. We have had some unfavorable vet experiences in the past and Edina Pet Hospital puts us all at ease. We love them and are so grateful for them!

I cannot say enough good things about Edina Pet Hospital. When my senior (14yo) cat Oli threw up one day and started acting weirdly, I knew it was not a normal vomit and that something was up - a parent can just tell.
I immediately brought him in to South Metro Animal Emergency, and they got us through the first hump - after a lot of tests, they suspected IBD/pancreatitis. They gave me some meds to get him over the hurdle of the weekend.
By Monday, Oli was still struggling, and I began calling around to see who could get me in right away. I was referred to Edina Pet Hospital.
I have since been working exclusively with Edina Pet Hospital, and will continue bringing all of my pets here. For just general positives, I love the fact that their lobby is split into a "cat side" and "dog side" to keep things more comfortable for nervous cats or excitable dogs. The front desk staff have also been wonderful.
I initially worked with Dr. Herold, who examined Oli and got me started on a treatment plan. We needed to get an ultrasound done, which there was going to be a couple-day wait on due to having to bring in a specialist. However, they were able to get me in VERY quickly, which I am abundantly greatful for.
The following two weeks were a bit of a haze of figuring out which medications worked for him, how serious the situation was (he is now officially diagnosed with pancreatitis and IBD), and learning what all that meant and how to change lifestyles to prevent and manage flare-ups. For part of this, Dr. Herold was OOO on vacation and so I worked with Dr. Cheasick. Both doctors have been absolutely wonderful and so kind and patient with both me and Oli. At one point, I had a total breakdown in the office from the stress and money cost, and they did everything for me they possibly could and were very empathetic.
Once Dr. Herold got back from vacation, we got a follow up exam scheduled, and by that point, Oli was doing consistently very well (and is to this day, about four weeks later total). Dr. Herold cleared him for now and approved taking him off his meds and gave me detailed instructions for how to proceed in the future. And I just want to say, her confidence and upbeat personality really, really helped me during this time - I was absolutely terrified I was going to lose my best friend who'd been with me for over a decade. And even though he turns into a monster at the vet, they still treated him so, so kindly.
On an unrelated note, I didn't meet with Dr. Martin for any of Oli's issues, but I did come here with my mom when she adopted her new dog London, and although there wasn't anything major during that appointment (just a check up and vaccines), Dr. Martin was also lovely to work with.
Truly, can't recommend a vet more. I used to go to Modern Love up in North Loop when I lived in the Marcy-Holmes neighborhood and was devastated when we moved that ML would just be too far to get to. I've been to several other vets in the Bloomington area where we live and haven't really had great experiences, but I am so, so grateflu to have found Edina Pet Hospital. 10/10 across the board, even though they are apparently short-staffed!
Thanks again.

Zo and Dr. Cheasick were nothing short of phenomenal. After an absolutely abhorrent experience at another clinic - that shall remain nameless - these two treated my oldster and myself like we were part of the family. Same day appointment, quality care, and in and out in under a half hour. I can’t say enough good about this place, HIGHLY recommend!

My pup ate a container of mints I believed had xylatol on them. I quickly got him to Edina Pet Hospital. Crystal took his vitals while Dr. Martin chatted with pet poison. Found out xylatol was not in the mints and my pup would just have an upset tummy. So thankful for doctor's and staff at Edina Pet Hospital!

We had to put our cat down after 13 years. The Edina Pet Hospital staff was wonderful. Very caring and understanding. And they sent a card a few days later signed by all the staff expressing their condolences. I would highly recommend them for any pet needs.

Accidentally found this place with my ailing cat in the car after another place could not fit us in that day. The team at Edina Pet Hospital handled the situation with compassion. They were the first available to see our new kitty and I was able to comfort her during the entire time for her first ever visit at the clinic. Great people who have made me very comfortable with them. Highly recommend !!

This vet partners with the Minneapolis Care and Control Shelter to provide a free first-time wellness exam with in the first 2 weeks of adopting a pet, which was quick and easy to book!
The workers here clearly loved animals and were very friendly and compassionate. My kitty had just recently been adopted and clearly was very stressed about this whole ordeal, but despite that they were able to coerce her out of hiding easily even though they just met her and got her purring and rubbing against their legs in record time. They did everything to make it easy for her, including giving her the Churro treats she loves so the shots she had to get were quick and painless. They even gave me a Churro treat for the road for when I got home!
They were knowledgeable about feeding and helped me figure out how much, what brands to look for, and what specifications for cat food. I appreciate that when we were in the exam room, she was free to roam the room and explore, which I think helped her calm down and be less stressed about the whole experience.
I will definitely be coming back for all of Lady Potato's needs!

I brought our cat and dog here for the first time today. The staff were all honest, very gentle, and friendly with our pets. The prices are reasonable, and we didn't feel pressured into any unneeded procedures or medications. We showed up late (my fault), but I didn't feel rushed into or out of our appointment. It's obvious that this clinic cares about the best interest of each animal that they see.
