My husband and I walked into this store with the intent on buying furniture for our dining room. We have a mid century home and we only furnish it with furniture that fits the mcm vibe. We walked into the store having just come from the park with our two sons who were content in a stroller. No one ever asked us if we needed help and one worker even laughed at us. It really felt unbelievable and clearly we were not viewed as worthy customers. We went down the and received great service at Room and Board. I hope you discontinue this treatment of judging customers based on looks - you are most definitely losing sales. Remember, the richest people often don't look it.

Michael N. has been the most helpful DWR team member I’ve worked with nationally. He’s responsive, transparent, and has been the dependable communication. Thankful for your help, Michael! Hope you get the acknowledgement you deserve!

Happened to be at the Galleria returning a wedding gift and decided to pop in to the DWR to drool over the gorgeous MCM furniture. I guess I was dressed like I belong because I didn't get hassled but I had the misfortune of watching a salesperson in so many words tell this couple in hoodies and jeans that they can't afford anything here and tried to get them out ASAP. It's really no wonder why "cake eater" gets thrown around so much when this kind of stuff happens. Have some respect for people, you have no idea what their life situation is, they'd probably kick out Adam Sandler too for wearing pickup basketball sweats.

Oh man! I usually never write negative reviews (or any reviews at all) but I had such an odd experience here. My partner and I went into this DWR to look at furniture for both my studio space and our home.We were very disappointed with how unfriendly and rude the sales people were when we visited. When we walked in, the team looked up at us, and quickly looked away instead of saying hello. When we finally found someone who didn’t run away from us, they were uninterested in helping us find a specific item we were looking for.It was surprising because when we visited the DWR store in Chicago, everyone was so friendly and helpful! If you’re looking for a nice customer service experience, I’d say you should visit another location.

This not a review of this particular store but about DWR in general. You pay premium prices for furniture and expect that the furniture will be of high quality. This is NOT the case. We purchased a Milo Baughman leather recliner about five years ago and the spring system is already failing. When I wrote DWR and explained the situation they said there was nothing they could do and referred me to a furniture repair company that didn't even operate in my state! Bottom line, at DWR you pay high prices and get crummy quality. And don't expect DWR to stand behind their products or give you any support. If you value quality products that don't fall apart after a few years, GO Elsewhere!

A very cool store! If you're looking for a Herman Miller chair, go check them out. Nicole is awesome to work with.

This is a review about this location and not DWR. The company deserves a 5/5 for the quality of products though shipping has been a concern as of late——If you haven’t purchased here, you’re better off treating this as a view long room and ordering online or contacting a rep via their phone number to place the order. The staff is knowledgeable and can help you understand the product and what may meet your needs.Unfortunately, the staff here is ONLY invested in getting the order placed and ensuring they receive commissions. Once the order is placed, do not expect any clarity on when your order will arrive, or for them to provide any ongoing value you would typically expect from a sales professional in this space; order status updates, clear communication and expectation management, efficient help with returns, etc. I spent over $85k the past 4 months to have nearly a dozen emails ignored (requesting any kind of follow up or expectation setting) by both Michael and the management chain, and my order needlessly delayed due to the negligence of the staff there. No one should be subjected to this kind of behavior. DWR Corporate needs better guardrails against this kind of behavior especially given the potential life time value of most customers, and particularly those willing to spend on nice furniture (I will likely spend another $200k in the next year before this home is completely furnished) .If you’ve already experienced delays, follow up with DWR directly via their customer service number. You’ll have better luck at resolution and if you’re a busy entrepreneur or professional, you’ll save a lot of time as well.

A good friend of mine had huge problems with her order. Over 8 months she had several deliveries of table, but each time the deliver was incomplete (missing legs). Finally today she had to go in person to the store to speak with a manager. She still doesn’t have the table and still has to wait another 7 weeks. Who knows if that delivery will be correct? Her previous reviews on the site were deleted by Design within Reach and the store manager was generally indifferent to her horrible experience.Don’t buy from this store!!

I made an order in August of 2022 that was scheduled to arrive by end of 2022 or early 2023. Long story short, it did not arrive until the following May.The company offered me a "discount" to make up for my troubles. However, the "discount" was offered as a refund, even though I had to cancel the first order, they returned the thousands I had already paid (though to the wrong card), and I had to restart the order process. It would have been possible to give me the discount off the top of that second order. But no. I had to pay in full at the time of shipment, then wait months for a refund. The refund was initially set up for the wrong amount. I caught that, but then the refund took over a month to arrive. One way of looking at it: I gave a no-interest loan to DWR for 6 months, had over 35 touch points with the company to ensure I got the refund (which I trust will arrive next week), but the couch is fine and the delivery guys were nice.I have other DWR furniture - the line file cabinet, a bed - that have both deteriorated over time. Quality is just OK, given that the things should last a lifetime but may not be all that pristine 3-5 years in even if they have been very lightly used, treated like heirlooms.

Great experience buying an office chair with John! He took the time to answer my questions and truly make me feel confident in my investment.

I bought a tall dresser and two bedside tables from DWR recently. Unfortunately it was an experience I am trying to forget. The whole process took 10 months, including one failed delivery in the middle where the delivery people were trying to convince me to accept a broken dresser arguing that it would make replacement faster (?) As the delivery date kept being pushed back, the staff didn't update me about when the items would be delivered and every time I had to call I heard more promises that it would be very soon.. The delivery folks did not show up when they scheduled the delivery, without any warning or apology, and I got a text 3 weeks later asking again to schedule a delivery again. Overall, it was a very unprofessional process, not fitting a company that sells such expensive furniture. Comparing to their competitors I have been shopping at for the past 20 years, this was unacceptable. I don't believe I will ever shop there again.

Spent 20 minutes in store with ZERO help. Associate sitting up front was on a conference call and couldn’t be bothered to even look up and say hi.

Another store in the Galleria- it is really wonderful. This is a furniture store, and it's mainly what we call mid-century design. My house is mid-century design and I would give my eye teeth to rip out all the old furniture I have now and get my hands on that spiffy postmodern furniture. The people are great and very helpful. I recommend it if you're just wondering around looking for ideas on what to do with your house.
