My wife and I were very happy to be there first time 19 years ago. So Wooddale church became the best church in the world.

Went to an orchestra performance here. It was fairly fun. The outside of the building looks like Minas Morgul so it gets 4 stars for that alone.

My wife and I attended Wooddale for decades until I discovered Wooddale has the same beliefs about God as the Catholic church. There is no triune god. There is God, the Father, and Jesus, his son.

Pastor Dale Hammel is a fantastic teacher... This may seem odd to point out but, his voice is pleasant and he doesn't do preachy, yelling, pounding the pulpit. He incorporates a variety of art forms and other engaging methods to keep all brains engaged. The focus is Love and living in congruity with what Jesus taught in all aspects of our lives.I feel...I hope, everyone could feel welcome here in spite of the vanilla congregation.People are friendly and there's always someone available to help find your way around or just talk to.There's a new Loring Park location that I'd like to visit to get some diversity.Edit:I've been very disturbed by the correlation between religion and far right politics, extremism and ignorance.Although the Evangelical church has been singled out, this is an urgent problem for all congregations, denominations, and individuals, to evaluate.Wooddale appealed to me because the teaching seemed focused on changing yourself not others. I sensed compassion for others, not judgment and i never encountered any overt political persuasion or activism as i have at other churches.Because it seems they could potentially stand on the "right side" of this, I do hope this particular congregation has been doing some soul searching and is engaging in open dialog regarding these serious, valid, concerns.~IMO A church can not be open to all while simultaneously standing against, specific "sins and sinners".

It's a cool church, but like everywhere else here, if you aren't from Minnesota, you may as well be classified as a terrorist here. I was friendly and said hello to a young woman here (in their maybe teens-20's somewhere) one time and she just glared me down but another time a couple offered to give me a ride home... I forget if I just didn't want to drive my car or why, but it was kind of them. Hit or miss with this church. But sadly, more often than not people felt obligated to interact with me. Decent large services though. I just felt like a number they wanted to add to look good. As typical of a mega church though. I mean.. I didn't feel part of a family. I didn't feel loved or appreciated. I wasn't really religious I just was trying to get a sense of community. So good to know that isn't the way to do it

Why doesn't Google maps automatically show Wooddale, but instead shows the coffee shop????

I love this community and the mission to making disciples of men. I have become a member because they actually do the work of the Lord and have genuine hearts to serve people. Hallelujah!!!

Wooddale was blessed to have Leith Anderson for many years, but I really appreciate Dale Hummel's messages and style. I am also pleased that Wooddale has not buckled the way many churches have by adopting leftist/progressive theology. This is a great bible based church.

We have really appreciated Kyle's Christian messages during the past two weeks. His ability to give us God's good words as it relates to our current political communication problems and the world we live in is very helpful.Ted & Eloise Giannobile
