“Tonight my 13 yr old son and I were in the cities for basketball. We went to eat between games and when we walked out, my son noticed that there was the undercarriage cover was hanging down under my vehicle. I knew that I wouldn’t make it the 100 mile trip home with it the way it was. I had no tools and had no idea what to do. I was across the street from your business. I knew that my chances of getting help were slim to none because it was about 6:00 on a Saturday evening. I pulled on the door and it was locked. Not too long after, one of your employees that was still there came out and asked if I needed help. He graciously came out, screwed it back up, and helped us get on our way. I didn’t catch his name, but am extremely grateful for him! We made it home safely! Just as importantly, I appreciate knowing that we live in a place where there are good people who are willing to go out of their way to help others.”
“They were able to take us right away on a holiday weekend which we were grateful for as we had to travel that day within hours . Freddy was accommodating. We were done within 2 hrs. We went in for a nail in the tire which was removed and patch. They also did a review of different things they checked on the vehicle which was nice. They sent a complete description of findings. I would recommend. Reason for the 4 star and this isn’t necessarily their fault but we drove 3 1/2 hrs and next day tire pressure light went on and we needed to fill air in tire - so while they removed a nail and plugged it - something more is going on. We will return to another Firestone where the car is located and have them relook at it. Is it possible we hit another nail - sure- but we do think something else is going on like the sensor or value stem which they say they look at.”
“I have been coming to this particular location for service on my car for almost ten years. The service is always consistent, friendly, and they are ethical. Last year I had an issue with my car that needed to be done by the dealorship due to a patent issue. I was SO appreciative of their ethics, honesty, and due diligence.
Fast forward to this year, I had a small repair on my car and I worked with Austin M. He displayed the highest degree of professionalism, warmth, customer service that is first class. There is customer service where you needs are met and no complaints (great) then there is customer excellence, where he goes above and beyond you expectations to ensure you are satisfied. “I ordered tires on the Costco website, they arrived earlier than anticipated. I was able to get in ahead of my appointment as a walk in. It helped that I was the first one in when they opened. Had my tires installed in 2 hours. The tech, Mike, also called me with a couple of questions since I selected (on purpose) a Passenger rated tire when the Original Equipment called out is a Light Truck grade tire. They were spot on and took care of me.”
“My son and I were on a cross country trip from Seattle to Boston when the purge valves on the emissions system of our 2004 Subaru Forester failed. We were just outside of Minneapolis and based on other reviews opted to try and see if TGK in Eden Prarie could squeeze us in on short notice so we could continue on our journey. I called late in the afternoon on a Wednesday and the shop agreed to see if they could resolve or issues the following morning. I dropped the care off at 8am. Check in was smooth as all of the information from the call the night before was in the appointment. By 10 am the diagnostic had been done and I was sent an inspection report and estimate for the needed repairs and recommendations for some others. I called the shop and and after a brief discussion with the service advisor I approved the necessary repairs and they assured me the repairs would be completed by the end of the business day. I have worked in auto repair for the past 26 years and the report I was sent was by far the most professional I have ever seen. Thorough and understandable with digital photos no less. Around 4:30pm I received another text and email advising that the repairs were completed. After a brief text exchange I was sent a link to pay the bill online and arranged to pick up the car after hours. After a full day of taking in the Mall of America and doing my best to keep up with an 18 year old on all of the rides in the amusement area we took a Lyft back to Eden Prairie and picked up our car. The repairs were all completed as detailed on the report and we happily motored on to Boston without further mechanical trouble. My only regret is that we live in Alaska and my son is attending college in Boston so it is unlikely that we'll be able to use TGK for repairs in the future. Our experience with TGK - Eden Prairie couldn't have gone any better.”
