Renter Beware!
Came from out of state to move my mother to assisted living. Limited on time, had to find a storage facility quickly. Lock up was clean and appeared secure, however the price was higher when I arrived than what was previously quoted to me. In reviewing the breakdown, $12/month had been added for insurance for my mothers belongings. Explained to the location mgr that my mother had her own ins for her belongings. Was told this charge was mandatory and would not rent to me if I did not accept the this charge. After 6 months, the rent was reduced! In speaking with the NEW location mgr, was told I should not have been charged the $12/month for insurance. I asked how I could be reimbursed the $72 I should not have paid. Given the regional mgr phone #. In speaking with him, he said there was nothing that could be done as I had agreed to the terms. He also said there was no one else in the company I coud talk to. Tried calling their corporate office location and had to leave a message. No response from the corporate office.

Clean storage areas. They are in the process of putting down carpet thru-out the hallways and they try keeping areas clean and unblocked with their equipment for installing carpet as much as possible. There is no "door" to use for entrance, so you have to use 1 of the 2 main garage doors to enter the place with your code for entry and also for using the elevator, which I personally think is a pain in the rear. Other wise, ok place for storing your belongings.

I was trying to get a space from this company, filled out an application online and, when I put in my payment information, received an error message and need to call the facility. When I called, I was told how I was making all sorts of mistakes on their web site and needed to come in. I felt that this was bad customer service and am gladly taking my business to a competitor, who has a more user friendly website and customer service.

The staff is very friendly, the facility is clean. However, they keep raising the prices. I found a comparable unit, climate controlled less than 3 miles away for $100 less a month. That's $1,200 saving (at least) a months. The new facility is very clean, easy access to the unit, climate controlled and only $70 a month with first month for $1. I just had to move out of The Lock Up Storage to a better place!
