I ordered lumber through Menard special order program waited a week and here’s what I got. They offered to replace it if I wanted to wait another week, maybe it’ll be raining by then.

Two level Menards! Enough said.
Outstanding selection and displays. The moving walkway to the second level is a delight for all ages. This Menards is an experience.
Just try to get out of the store without hearing the Save Big Money at Menards jingle 10 times!

Best Menards I have been to. I’ve been in several in different states and this is the best so far. The workers looked happy and everything was clean and pleasant and well stocked. The live piano music was very pleasant and more inviting than I’ve ever heard in any Menards.

After searching the Menards app for an hour, I was able to locate a black Larson screen door 32x80 at this location (available nowhere else in the Twin Cities). I called the store and asked if they could hold it for me to pickup later that day. Barry, a manager, assured me it would be held for me. I asked if he needed my name, but he said no, it would be there for me when I came in. When I came in that afternoon, after driving an hour to get to the store, he looked embarrassed and muttered something like "I knew that wasn't the guy." He excused himself for 10 minutes to check with the millwork department. When returning, he informed me that another person had come in shortly after my call and picked up the door. I was VERY frustrated. I had drove another hour to another menards to get a second storm door for this project, and the contractor had agreed to come on short notice to address our issue: a leaking Mastercraft exterior door. The Eden Prairie door was the one needed to protect the leaking door. Barry gave pretense of apology, but it was clear he was only embarrassed, and made little to none effort to offer a helpful solution. He told me the storm door was a 2 week custom order, and no one else held them in stock. I asked if he or a GM could approve delivery from another store in the region, since I needed it later that week - he said I'd have to customer order and ship to my home. He gave no effort to legitimately make recompense for a mistake he made. Based on this, I would not recommend frequenting this store. I am disappointed in the very poor service. When a manager makes a mistake, and a customer has given 3+ hours of their time to buy your product, there must be ways to find agreeable amends for the error.

Drivers hired for delivery of construction materials are hit and miss. Independent contractors. When they are bad, it has a big impact on labor as well as customer satisfaction. Can Menards not offer ANY accountability? If not, those inclined will continue to be lazy and indifferent to Menards customers.

Do not buy your appliances from Menards. In January of 2023 a refrigerator was purchased. It decided to quit cooling this year in May. Of course JUST past the one year warranty period Menards has. We went in person to ask for help. However, due to the warranty being up the employee stated he couldn’t help us. Basically dismissed us. I had to look up how to reach out to manufacture on my own, only to eventually find a link on the Menards website. All this employee had to do was listen and direct us to someone who could help if he couldn’t/wouldn’t. Or simply said to go to the website. Instead, out of warranty, not his problem. Literally no one else behind us in line. He had time to help direct us. Not the way to treat your customers. Especially on an expensive and daily used/needed product like a refrigerator. I have never met someone at a return/service desk so unhelpful.

Great garden selection. I got a few different types of plants/ vegetables I was looking for. The store was okay on cleanliness. The customer service was decent. It was my first time in this specific store and not a single person asked me if I needed help even though I was definitely lost looking. There was also no employees in sight to ask for help until I was at the register to pay.

I went to this Menards to find some parts for a plumbing project. I was pretty stumped when trying to find the part I needed but Scott helped me figure it out all while being very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. He even found a simpler way to solve my issue and save me a few bucks. This also happened directly after I watched him help another man in the same exact manner. I will be looking for Scott the next time I need help here!
