It's a Safe and Comfortable place to Volunteer at. This was the first time I've done anything like this before, they all made me feel so welcomed and valued. I'm a very shy person and it helps to have such friendly people around who are also willing to help answer any questions.

We came with our coworkers and made enough meals to feed 43 kids for a year. It was nice to help in a small way.

Looking to give back to your community and make a difference in the world? Chris Rooney Home Experts recommends volunteering at Feed My Starving Children. This nonprofit organization provides nutritious meals to malnourished children in communities around the world. Helping out at FMSC is a fun and fulfilling experience, as you and your fellow volunteers work together to package and ship the meals to those in need. Not only does it feel great to contribute to the well-being of others, but FMSC also provides a valuable opportunity to connect with others and build relationships within your community.

I went with a group of 50+ coworkers to FMSC in Eagan. They have their processes and procedures "dialed in." The introduction and initial guidance was informative and entertaining and times perfectly. The work was basic, allowing everyone to do their part quickly and easily. We produced 22,000 meal packs! It was a great experience and helped build cohesion amongst that group. HIGHLY recommend FMSC!!

Had a fantastic time with a great group of people. 10/10 would recommend taking an hour and a half out of your day to go help package meals that feed children everyday for years. Friendly people and lots of laughs. ❤️

I’d be more inclined to donate if the focus was population control. The world does not have a good shortage(or a energy shortage or a water shortage). The issue is overpopulation yet we can’t even touch this subject as two other non related issues will be thrown at us. Religion and racism. The Catholic organization is adamantly opposed to birth control and under developed countries have a reproductive problem (which are not white populations). Which then leads to being called a racist. Both of those prevent honest and open discussions about how to resolve this crisis which is only getting worse. We have been trying to solve the hunger issues for decades with no solution in sight, as the world’s population explodes: yet we go volunteer for an hour and then pat ourselves on the back for the impact we have made when in all honesty we should be looking at population growth and what can be done to address this issue

Volunteering at Feed My Starving Children is an incredibly fulfilling and meaningful experience. As a non-profit organization, they rely on volunteers to help pack nutritious meals that are then shipped to communities in need all over the world. The meal packs contain a scientifically-designed formula of rice, soy, vegetables, and vitamins, designed to meet the nutritional needs of children suffering from severe malnutrition. The best time to volunteer at Feed My Starving Children is during the week, when there is typically more availability. However, weekend shifts can also be found. It is recommended to bring a group of friends, family, or co-workers, as the meal packing process is much more fun and efficient with a group. The time commitment is usually two hours, but can vary depending on the day and time slot.Volunteering at Feed My Starving Children is a great way to give back to those in need and make a difference in the world. The experience is both meaningful and enjoyable, and you will leave knowing that you have helped to make a positive impact on someone's life.

Very underrated activity! One of my favorite places to volunteer ever since I was a child! Wish I didn’t live far away from FMSC and wish they had one in Woodbury since it’s bigger than Eagan in population! I’ve even been here for a birthday party and was really rewarding! Perfect for a school field trip as I did it for my senior service day on my last day of high school! It doesn’t matter if you go to fmsc alone, with family, or friends! You would have to schedule online ahead of time to volunteer!

I've been twice, once recently and once years ago, as a volunteer food packer. The store that they've added with items made by folks from the many countries served is out of sight (I was born in the 60s). And of course, what they're doing to get food to kids all over the world is fantastic. Hats off and continued blessings to FMSC.
