I have reached out several times to the administration on this branch about the sauna always being broken and out of order on the weekends to no avail. The lack of concern making sure the facility is regularly maintained and fully functional makes this YMCA branch impossible to recommend.

We have a membership and use the early childhood center for our preschooler. We love the preschool and will probably continue there, but are looking for a different gym. The customer service both at the Eagan gym and customer service if you call YMCA of the North is complete garbage. If you call customer service, they are rude, uncaring, and completely unhelpful. So just know if you have an issue, you are pretty much on your own. As far as the actual gym, it’s kind if a joke. Their hours compared to other gyms are lacking at best, and then they kick you out early because they want to locking the doors and everyone out of the gym by 9PM. So you are not actually allowed to use the amenities till 9. Also, the gym childcare is rigid, rude, and no one seems like they want to be there. I don’t feel comfortable leaving my children there. The membership rates are decent, which is why we joined. But it would seem you get what you pay for and we are looking into other options.

The facility is a not a safe place. The equipment and the safety are not worth he price tag. Not only does my girlfriend feel uncomfortable at this location, but I was harassed by another member in the locker room. I reported it to the staff. The staff told me that it is a "he said she said situation" and told me that if I don't like the gym, I can cancel my membership. So if you want sub par equipment and harassment, then this is the place for you.

I really like going to this place, but lately the child care has not been very good and they don't pay attention to the children and people are upset taking care of children. Another point is the hours they close very early at 9pm and before they closed at 10pm

It’s fun to swim. I just want to put review for long time ago! It’s been so fun to go to swim or to have some activities with my best friend when I was 7 years old until 13 years old. I wish we would continue but due to accidentally lost my family membership card?

My mom and I currently testing out water aerobics classes. The Saturday morning Salsa Splash was a BLAST!! It wasn't hard on the body and was a great work out. The instructor, Mary, was so energetic and honestly inspiring. We did had an awkward mishap with our new membership/communication from another Y, the staff handled the tension well and I was impressed! We will be back for the next Salsa Splash!

They never keep current hours. They open the pool when they feel like it, but don't bother posting a sign at the front desk it's closed. You waste your time driving across town and then get changed only to be locked out of the pool area. You don't get any value for your membership fee anymore.

It's an okay YMCA. Use to be members on and off back in the day. Came here for various activities. Probably won't ever return anytime soon.

The coaches are some of the best in the state! They take the time to help you move correctly, safely, and efficiently. Stop by and see for yourself.

My daughter and I arrived on a Sunday afternoon to go swimming. We used to be members but are no longer. I was unaware of the reservation requirement. When we walked in, one of the front desk ladies was looking at me like... "what do you think you are doing here". The two staff were extrememly rude, they offered no help. It took them forever to eventually explain the reservation process. Our friends invited us to go swimming and did not have a reservation but they had passes so they got in. The front desk ladies said the pool reservations were "full" but obviously didn't verify because our friends said that the pool was not that busy. Never going back there agian. Shame on their HORRIBLE customer service. My daughter left balling. Way To GO, ladies. Super disappointed.

Wanted to share our experience of the swimming lessons at the YMCA in Eagan. I left a voicemail and emailed Jordyn A, the director of the swimming program back on 3/6/2020 and followed up on 5/19/2020. I never did receive a response. Below is what I sent her...The swim instructor (didn't get her name) said she would be talking to her boss about our situation last night, and someone would be contacting me about switching the kids into an appropriate level. I've already requested a refund with the front desk, but honestly, it has very little to do with the money. Below is a summary of what happened from my perspective. Not sure if there is anything you can actually do to make this better, but thought you needed to know. Our kids names are X and Z._________________________________________I couldn't sleep last night. My husband couldn't sleep. My 4 year old daughter woke up from her first nightmare, begging me to never leave her. I'm still struggling. My kids, 4 & 6 have been in swimming lessons since before they could walk. My daughter has advanced into a level beyond her age group at Wise Swim School, JD-1 (ages 5+). My son is physically stronger/taller, but hasn't had the motivation to advance yet into a higher level beyond JD-2. To try something new & save a few bucks, I signed the kids up for lessons at the YMCA in Eagan. They've never been, so I selected the class level online based on the description of what they do at Wise, Beginning Strokes (ages 4-12). Their first lesson was last night (3/5/2020) and since it's on my way home, I came from work and arrived just a few minutes after they started. As I pulled into the parking lot, I got a text from my husband saying..."Our daughter almost f*cking drowned!"I found my way to the pool and saw my husband sweating and very disturbed. Thinking maybe he's overreacting, I sat down and asked him if everything was okay? (Clearly he was not okay.)A few minutes later, in a class of only 3 kids (2 are mine), I witness a middle aged woman refusing to smile telling my excited kids to swim front stroke, and switch to back stroke... across the Olympic size pool to the opposite end. I'm like... wait what? The kids are smiling, having a blast and I see my daughter try. Moments later, not only was the instructor no longer watching, but neither was either of the high school lifeguards on duty. At this point, half way across the pool, my daughter had stopped swimming...gulping water, reaching up for the lane divider and gasping for air. She LOVES swimming and didn't seem too scared, but both my husband & I damn near jumped in the pool to grab her. This mama bear immediately walked over to the other end of the pool & yelled to the instructor that clearly the kids cannot do what you're asking of them and need to be in a lower age appropriate class!?! She responded... "Oh, yeah, I was going to talk to you after the class." I didn't say it, but was literally thinking... "Oh, is that before or after the paramedics are called!?!"With my heart pounding, I immediately went to the front desk and asked for whomever is in charge of the swimming program. The swim director was named was Jordyn A. and she was unavailable at the moment. They handed me her card and said to get in contact her the following day. They looked into switching them into a lower class, but everything was full. Still shaking, I just asked for a refund, left my phone number and asked to have the director contact me.Swim instructors & lifeguards have like one job - to teach and/or to keep our children safe. If the child SAYS they don't know what you're asking of them, and clearly cannot do the task without help, why would you continue to push it when their physical safety is in jeopardy?________________________________Even 18 months later, the feeling of anger, guilt & fear still linger from that first day of swimming lessons at the YMCA in Eagan. Hopefully those two employees involved have moved
