I adopted Margo (Liberty) from PJ’s in 2022 and the entire process was really smooth and easy! We love Margo and are so glad we got to adopt! PJ’s is an amazing rescue and does so much for the animals in their care and ensuring they all find good homes!

Don’t know how they manage to get any pets adopted when they can’t even be bothered to email back to you within a week or answer a phone. Frustrating, useless organization, adopted elsewhere.

One of the best rescue organizations around! Very accessible and involved in the community! Lots of wonderful fundraising events and great volunteers that are willing to answer all your questions about the pup you are interested in!

We adopted our Standard Poodle, Brody, from PJ’s Rescue.Communication with the staff at PJ’s and with his foster was easy and they were always helpful. Brody came with health records, neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. He also came with the necessities for his transition into our home— leash, collar and food.He was even freshly washed on pick up day thanks to his foster!

They took a mama dog named Fern and her 8 puppies from my small rural rescue. They claimed they would reimburse for medical bills ie vaccines, wormers, etc. like all of our other rescue partners do. I’m a very small rescue and everything comes out of my pocket. I don’t get adoption fees or donations. To date they haven’t paid a dime. They won’t even do me the courtesy of a reply to all the emails I’ve sent. Not even any updates on the animals they took. I have no idea what happened to Fern and her babies once they got them. Not only that but all of our rescue partners up north pay a modest fee per dog or litter of puppies for transport. This barely covers the gas for the bus. They have yet to pay for any of the dogs we transported to them. We’re all struggling to save these babies. Dog food and everything else these animals need is not cheap. To have another rescue screw me over for the vaccines and wormers for these babies is just sad. To never know what happened to a dog and her puppies that I cared for is even sadder. No I would not recommend dealing with these people. Dishonest and not to be trusted.

While PJ’s ensured my cat had an excellent foster home & was very well taken care of, my experience with the administrative side of PJ’s has been extremely frustrating. Since adopting my cat on 09/01/2022 I’ve asked multiple times for my cat’s vaccination records as they are needed for getting him his follow- up shots and for my own housing applications. I’ve gotten the run around multiple times from happy tails and PJ’s rescue and still haven’t received the complete vaccination records from his time under PJ’s care. I asked again on 5/16/23 for the vaccination records and today on 7/12/23 they sent me the vaccination records for the wrong cat. Because of their lack of follow through I am paying an extra $15 dollars a month in pet rent because I don’t have proof of his early vaccinations.

PJ’s is fantastic! They truly care about every animal that they try to find permanent homes for. They make the process incredibly easy and stress free.

Very negative experience with PJ’s in comparison to other rescues we have adopted from. We adopted a puppy from PJ’s and were told he would need follow up care for a broken toe and that someone would call us in a few days to let us know when we could bring him in. No one called us. No one returned our multiple voicemails. No one returned our emails or Facebook messages for weeks. In the meantime we reached out directly to the vet they work with and were able to bring him in. At the vet, we paid the additional fee to them to have his shots taken care of and to have him neutered as part of his adoption. DONT pay this fee to PJ’s or Happy Tails. We’ve been told now that they have no record of us, our dog, or the money we paid and to insure this care. (Extra strange since we had been doing weekly appointments for his broken toe after finally getting a hold of someone at the vets office and being ignored by PJ’s.)It’s nice that they are finding homes for animals in need, but there’s other rescues doing this as well and they’re far better at it and far more deserving of financial support.
