Matilda's Dog Bakery and Boutique
4521 E Superior St, DuluthI love Matilda's. So do my dogs when I come home with all the homemade treats! They have a great selection of premium pet food and an incredible selection of treats and chews! This is a little hidden gem! Love picking up toys there too! Would much rather support a local business than the big box stores. Great customer service and it feels like I'm at a coffee shop whenever I stop in because of the conversations and atmosphere at Matilda's.

Pet Grooming
Diva Dog Grooming
2709 Piedmont Ave, DuluthMy dog is a little nervous about grooming and I’m rather certain they did a good job making him comfortable for his bath. I asked them to skip the blow-dry and they did. They let me know about a little spot where he’s chewing on his tail that I didn’t notice on my own, I appreciate that. They did a great job on his nails. We will come back.

From Top Knots To Tails
215 N Central Ave Suite 3, DuluthI took my dog here to get his nails cut and they were amazingly fast. He always has a problem because of his big body on the little tables but the dog artist came into the lobby and cut his nails which I could tell made a huge difference in his experience. He was very happy afterwards

Lechien Pet Salon
810 E Ninth St, DuluthI took my tea cup Yorkie to get a hair cut. They not only gave him a cut, they trimmed his nails and gave him a bath. I was surprised they went the extra mile to care for my dog.The cost was 60 dollars. The wait time for drop off to pick up was an hour and a half. This is a cash only business. They don't have a way to take cards at this time.Once you enter the place. There is a chalkboard of prices based on breeds of dogs. They are very friendly and professional, I'd suggest you going there if you want a Groomer.

North Shore Veterinary Hospital
6001 E Superior St, DuluthMy husband and I recently had to make the hard decision to say goodbye to our beloved 15 year old dog. Our normal vet didn't do at home euthanasia, so I sought out North Shore Veterinary Hospital for a few reasons. Having an AAHA accredited vet is important to me. They have to maintain an excellent standard of care and expertise. Secondly, I heard nothing but good praise from my co workers.
Dr. Hargrove and his Vet Tech Katie came to our home with such compassion, care, and understanding. In having to make such an emotional decision to say goodbye to a best friend and we felt so supported and in that moment. They were very respectful and informative every step of the way. They cared for our boy knowing he was a part of our family until the very end.
They even helped with extra inkless paw prints and nose prints with the kit I ordered from Amazon. His ashes came back in a beautiful ornate wooden box, name plate, with a certificate and clay paw print that came with a display stand. We even received a card in the mail from Dr. Hargrove and his entire team. I was touched. I cannot thank them enough for a better experience and would recommend this to anyone who is having to make this decision. Our dog was always so anxious at the vet. We were able to give him the ending he deserved.
Thank you for everything. When the time comes, you earned us as new clients in Veterinary care. Keep up the excellent work. I know how hard this gift is to give. But I will be forever grateful!

BluePearl Pet Hospital
2314 W Michigan St, DuluthExcellent care. Team of dedicated animal lovers. Be prepared to wait. We called ahead and advised when we’d be there when they asked, but if a room is not ready when arriving, there is a wait. Then could be another wait for vet exam after initial contact with associate to get vitals.
Really grateful we have this awesome vet ER hospital

Sir Benedicts Tavern on the Lake
805 E Superior St, DuluthWent here for a quick lunch bite on a business trip as the nearby highly rated restaurant. It did not disappoint. I got the New England burrito but with a few twists and turns that fit my taste buds. It was SUPER filling and definitely made me want a naptime. I was not a fan of the dessert (homemade apple pie) or the ginger ale (bottled but I forget the brand). I would expect a wait when you go as it is on the smaller side and ALWAYS packed with line out the door (unless it was just the lunch time rush).

Duluth Cider
2307 W Superior St, DuluthNot a big cider man, but the wife always drags me here and we have a wonderful time. Outdoor aesthetic rocks, and the board games distract me from the $10 drinks. In conclusion, I like it

Yellow Bike Coffee Fitgers
600 E Superior St, DuluthHave had almost every drink on the menu. Everything is really good, the chai tea is my favorite and this location is great on nice days so you can go on the lake walk or cold snowy days if that’s what you like. My only complaint is they have 12oz or 20oz drinks. I know they probably do that so you will just buy the 20oz but a 16oz would be perfect for when 12oz is not enough.

Ursa Minor Brewing
2415 W Superior St Suite B, DuluthDear Ursa Minor,
I love your pizza;
I love your beer.
I bring my friends to you from far and near.
The music is nice,
The fires are warm.
You're a sweet, cozy spot to escape from a storm.
You’ve got Margherita…
You’ve got Food Farm, too.
We love them all! So what’s to do?
We order both!
We find they’re delicious!
And best of all, we don’t do the dishes:)
We’ve eaten our fill,
Now it’s time to pack
Our lovely lunch pizzas into your new pizza sacks.
OH! Sadness OH! Tears
Once home, we’ve discovered
Our Pizzas are folded and
stuck to each other.
The bottoms are soggy.
That’s not very nice.
It no longer resembles that wood-fired slice.
Your mission is noble -
You care for the planet.
I don’t take that lightly; we can’t take life for granted.
The bag is a start,
but sadly it fails,
For who wants a lunch resembling scrambled entrails?
Please re-light the fire,
And fine-tune this mess;
I know you can do it! Just give it your best.
Love, your pizza groupie,
Melody
PS. My ideas to kickstart the next
brainstorming session:
1.) Include a cardboard liner for the bag
2.) Charge a small fee for a box
3.) Sell reusable to-go boxes at the merch table (seriously, how many more t-shirts do we really need?)
