My husband and I recently had to make the hard decision to say goodbye to our beloved 15 year old dog. Our normal vet didn't do at home euthanasia, so I sought out North Shore Veterinary Hospital for a few reasons. Having an AAHA accredited vet is important to me. They have to maintain an excellent standard of care and expertise. Secondly, I heard nothing but good praise from my co workers.
Dr. Hargrove and his Vet Tech Katie came to our home with such compassion, care, and understanding. In having to make such an emotional decision to say goodbye to a best friend and we felt so supported and in that moment. They were very respectful and informative every step of the way. They cared for our boy knowing he was a part of our family until the very end.
They even helped with extra inkless paw prints and nose prints with the kit I ordered from Amazon. His ashes came back in a beautiful ornate wooden box, name plate, with a certificate and clay paw print that came with a display stand. We even received a card in the mail from Dr. Hargrove and his entire team. I was touched. I cannot thank them enough for a better experience and would recommend this to anyone who is having to make this decision. Our dog was always so anxious at the vet. We were able to give him the ending he deserved.
Thank you for everything. When the time comes, you earned us as new clients in Veterinary care. Keep up the excellent work. I know how hard this gift is to give. But I will be forever grateful!

My family and I are so grateful for Northshore Vet Clinic. We had to put our family member of 15 years down last week and decided to do an at home euthanasia. The feeling of losing your best friend is so hard, but they made it so comforting and peaceful. After only one week we got pack this incredible care package of Rocky’s paw print, a beautiful wooden box with his ashes, and a certificate with this name on it. This hospital truly went above and beyond to make our family feel seen and loved. Will definitely be booking here from now on

So far, very happy with this vet. They are professional, clean, and timely, and the prices aren’t horrible. Also, the environment inside is oddly quite relaxing!! They are not perfect, but no business or person is. Overall, I have nothing but good things to say.

They adore my babies and remember them. They make me feel comfortable and heard and they do a great job at minimizing stressful interactions with other dogs. Small walking area while you wait with benches. Parking lot is a bit tight if you drive a large vehicle

Everyone here is amazing! My kitties never mind being there. I only take my pets to NSVH and have for over 40 years.

Great place to assist our sick puppy when Blue Pearl wasn’t open. We don’t typically vet there (we are about an hour away) but they were quick to help, very kind and was able to treat the puppy until Blue Pearl opened again that evening.

Very friendly staff! They were great at answering any questions or concerns we had during the visit. Also, I have a very anxious kitty, and I loved that they have you wait in your car before the appointment to reduce animal fear/anxiety.

Dr. Johnson and staff truly exceeded our expectations. They were compassionate, respectful and so helpful as we navigated end of life care for our sweet, family dog. She passed outside in the garden, laying in the warm summer breeze. Grateful for all of you who made Berra’s last moments with us so peaceful.

This is the best veterinary office I’ve ever used for my cats. ??

The last couple of visits for yearly examinations and vaccines have been extremely challenging with this clinic. Vet was very rude and unwilling to listen to our concerns. Beware of the “Fear Free” approach to care, as this technique wasn’t a positive experience for us and our dogs.

Evaluated and treated anal gland issue with dog. Recognized previous treatment failure and need to move to next step. Treated dog over lunch. Personable while being professional.

Always a good experience even if difficult in nature. All staff I encountered were warm and kind.
