so greatful for the members of Menards who saw what happened and hopefully the couple was banned indefinitely.

Today I was trying to complete a job before going to a birthday party. I was late so I went into the West Duluth, Menards, and a guy named Blaine in there helped me dismantle and reassemble my pressure washer gun. Thanks to him I was able to get the job done and make it to the party. He went mountains over and beyond and I just wanted to say thank you. Sometimes small things can be a big deal to others!!!

I've been going to the Menards in west duluth on the regular for 8+ years. Spent thousands of dollars there. Then tonight I stopped by with the intention of just grabbing some supper glue, one thing led to another and before I knew it half an hour has gone by and my arms are full of clearance items, (tape, cork, 2 hats and the glue) during my time spent looking around I took 12 pictures. 2 toolboxes , 6 flashlights ?, 5 knifes ? . All of which were name brands, and I wanted to price check them against Walmart and mostly Amazon. Literally as im walking to the checkout the store security approaches me, says what I'm doing is against the stores private property policies and that I needed to pay for my things and leave because it was of his opinion that I looked suspicious and he was convinced I was making a check list of things to come back and steal. Naturally I attempted to file a complaint but I was left waiting for 15min with the person I'm wanting to make the complaint on. So I went to leave, then magically the store manager shows up at that exact moment the security guard follows me out to tell me management now has time for me.
By now I'm so fed up , so respond by saying you know what just forget it, I'll shop elsewhere for now on. He then tells that's perfect your business isn't wanted anyway, next time you step onto this property it will be trespassing. He then proceeds to follow me to my car And With his smart phone takes a picture of my car And license plate. I was parked right by a store camera, If they needed that info they could have gotten it from there. What that Rent a cop was doing is called harassment and attempting to intimidate me, and store management seemed just fine with it. I find everything about this Completely unacceptable. Negative stars for this location.

This stores security is absolutely rude and out of line! I'm visibly shaking for the second time leaving this store. They mistook me for the wrong person for the second time. The first time ripping my shirt after I spent 500$ on cabinetry. They then apologized multiple times but again today I was harassed for absolutely no reason their sucurity following me all the way to my truck taking pictures of me?? I am a contractor in the area and I spend thousands of dollars at this store. They need to get their 17 year old rentacop undercontroll before a lawsuit ensues.
I do Not recommend this hardware store.
