I called To ask about a product's availability and was on hold for approximately 40 minutes. It's virtually impossible to speak to someone at this Home Depot in a timely manner. The associate I finally spoke to was helpful and answered my question but was unable to process a purchase for me by phone (this was a $550.00 purchase). Seems strange that there is no system in place for a customer to purchase over the phone. I had to go to the store to make the purchase. There wasn't an associate in the department I was shopping so I went looking for one. I found 4 associates talking with each other at the self check outs (perhaps they could be answering phones so I don't have to wait for 40 minutes!! After all, it's the SELF CHECKOUT lane). I waited for them to quit talking and notice me, one finally did! The associate was brought over to the item I was interested in and I was attempting to explain my earlier conversation about color availability when she got snotty with me about how the colors have different sku numbers! Really? Sorry, I interrupted your associate gab session but listen when someone is speaking to you and don't be rude. I made the purchase because it's a Christmas present but future Home Depot purchases will be few and far between.

There are some pretty rude people who work at this Home Depot. We were there today and asked a gentleman if he knew if they were getting anymore 12ft skeletons in and he didn’t know. He went and asked a lady at us toner service and very loudly she said “absolutely no, that’s a HARD NO!” I mean, a simple no we’re not would’ve been just fine. My husband also called there earlier this week to see if they had any skeletons (we were told on Saturday that they would be out on Wednesday) and got a very rude lady on the phone. If you don’t like dealing with the public, find a different job.

Plants well labeled. Selection of perennials was good, anuals very limited. Many plants suffered from lack of care, water & frost protection.

Today at 8 AM I ordered an Air Conditioner for pick up. The site said that there are 5 in stock, which typically would me that there are 5 currently in the store. I figured I may as well order it for pick up just to make sure I get it. After I buy the thing for $250 I get an email saying not to come to the store until I get an email saying that it's ready for me. So I was thinking it'd be a chill 20 minutes to an hour and then I could go and grab it. I sit around until 1 PM and I finally decide to ask what on earth is going on. I use the customer service via text to figure out when I can pick the thing up because I have been sitting in my apartment for 3 days dripping in sweat. The person I talked to made me confirm my name and address and what not like 3 times, taking at least 15 minutes in between every response, but finally I get confirmation that they are "picking my item." I ask how long it will probably be and I get the response "I don't know but I was given a time frame of 2 hours." I thought well I've already been sitting here for 5 hours what's 2 more. Then an hour and a half after that I get a call and they tell me it's on a trailer with 9 THOUSAND other items and I won't get it until tomorrow. Long story short I will never be buying anything from this Home Depot ever again. A MAYBE 2 hour process turned into over 24 hours. Thanks guys!!!

Initially had an install date in November, they didn’t show up, only to say they didn’t receive my order because it was a “quote” despite putting in my credit card info. Waited 6 weeks for them to install the fridge. Unable to fit this fridge through my garage. I was told if i reschedule the delivery they would come out, install and take away my old fridge. Still attempting to set up install and now home depot is stating they are now unable to take the old fridge. Poor customer service! Avoid if you can.

I had yo buy a section of Deck railing and after I selected the railing the staff helped take it off the rack for me.. AND.. Showed me the mounting brackets that made the install super easy!! I would not have known about the brackets if he hadn't said anything.. Im so grateful he took the time to help make this job go smoother, easier and faster.. Thank you soo much!!!

Home Depot sells some of their lumber by the square foot. This is nice when their power cross-cut saw is working. It has been down for about three weeks and no one there has the faintest idea if/when it'll be fixed and no one there seems to care. Therefore if you need 1x12 oak (priced about $8/foot) which comes in 10 foot planks, and need less than 10 feet, their interim solution is for you to buy the full 10 foot plank(s) since they cannot cut it to your needed length(s).

I have been very disappointed in the store's response to Covid 19. While Menard's requires everyone to wear masks, It seems MOST Home Depot employees do not. This made me very uncomfortable and unwilling to return as long as my health could be at risk.I have been going to Home Depot Stores for many years long before they opened in Duluth. I have had very good to very poor experiences. I am pleased to have them in the Duluth city limits for the tax contribution to the city.

We had purchased a Samsung refrigerator for my daughter in the twin cities at a Home Depot store near her. There were issues with the refrigerator and I was getting nowhere with Samsung honoring the warranty. In desperation, I went to the Duluth Home Depot store near my own home to ask for advice and Dave in the appliance department was able to help me. He stepped in- right then and there to and call Samsung directly... and got them to correct the situation. This store had no obligation to us for what happened with a purchase in another store, yet Dave went the extra mile to help a customer out and I can never thank him enough. Selection of products is one thing, but customer service is what really matters. I shop at Home Depot and will continue to do so. I would recommend this store to anyone.
