This is a great facility with great staff. There have been no cleanliness issues when I have been there, as mentioned in some other reviews. The locker rooms are tidy, the pool is spotless. The second floor features some fantastic equipment and a lot of variety. I have also really enjoyed the Gentle Yoga with Natalie and the Fitness Yoga with Kristin.

I have recently joined the Downtown YMCA and it has honestly exceeded my expectations. My favorite part about it is that it hasn't been that busy when I've gone. I feel like I can find a space for me to focus on myself which is wonderful. I would love to look into their programming as well at some point.

Gym is nice, but the basketball court is awful, tons and tons of dead spots, floor will never be clean, hopefully they'll replace it, if your looking for the best court go to Hermantown.

Quite possibly the worst run YMCA in the world. Sarah Cole has no interest in the well being or people for that matter and they put her in charge. Whatever you do don’t give them feedback on improving their services. And member services can’t find their way out of a paper bag.

They have a good amount of space and opportunities. I noticed it was clean and I know a few coworkers who rave about the convenience of the location.

I’ll start off with that this is still the best gym in Duluth (commercial). But I’ve been a member for about 1.5 years since I moved to Duluth and the hot tub has been out of service the entire time. There have been signs they are working on it and it will be back soon. I can’t speak for the womens but the mens locker room smells like it has never been cleaned. Rest of the gym is clean and good.

Banning a swim official, volunteer or not, for following the rules & policies set forth by the YMCA, is not the answer. Why not instead teach our children to follow rules & policies or don't participate. Myself, among with many others, hope that the banned official will get an attorney & school the YMCA on who followed the rules & who didn't (YMCA).

Allowing a child to wear a swimsuit supporting a domestic terrorist group during a swim meet and not supporting the judge who followed the "no political language on swimsuits" rule from USA swimming. Wearing that suit is POLITICAL

I love the staff and how they have treated me with such kindness.! This place is also known for a "safe place" as well.! I remember getting an o.f.p. on my abuser, and one day he walked in, and the desk n other staff called the police, not only he was removed, but he was band off the property! I love how big the locker rooms are, the pool is awesome, and the gym equipment is nice as well.!

Has everything you need plus more to get a great workout in. Love the noonball basketball. Front dest people are friendly and can help with parking passes if you need one. Pool could be bigger for kids. Big looker rooms. Brandon the director runs a great basketball league outside of the y.

The Y has everything you would need to get back into shape, maintain, or exceed where your at. Reasonable monthly price, and overall a gym you can stay with. I'd recommend it if your visiting and need a workout.

Nice enough but not great accessibility. First off the street location Duluth has let fall apart the sidewalks and road are desperate need of repair. The handicap parking doesn’t have an access aisle for unloading wheelchairs and you feel very unsafe exiting your vehicle into traffic especially as a wheelchair user. The meters can’t be fed from a wheelchair without severe contortions. Duluth city is determined to make it difficult for the disabled community to access anything. The entrance into the facility is a turnstile which isn’t at all wheelchair accessible but the staff will let you in the exit swing away gate. There is an elevator to 4/5 floors, however if you wanted to book a private workout, rock climb or play racquetball it’s stairs very disappointing. However on the 2nd floor there is a hand cycle you can pull out the seat and roll chair into adjustable height for the pedals. A recumbent elipitical which you can lock your feet into place on and use your arms to make it move most of the equipment is spaced far enough out you can get in and around with exceptions to some of the areas on the second floor. I haven’t used the pools or locker rooms yet but a cursory glance looks accessible and the indoor track on the 3rd floor is a lot of fun however they didn’t have wheelchairs in mind and it is evident with a steep camber at each turn it’s also a ridiculously small track 1/16th a mile but it is a smooth flooring and I enjoyed myself. Overall I liked the facility very clean with amiable staff.
