The only things that somewhat justified the high price were the location and views.
The bathroom we had was dirty, the sink and soap dispensers were not cleaned well. The remote felt very slimy and counters/furniture were dusty, had to wipe them down myself. The windows weren't clean and stayed foggy even when changing the temp of the room. Walls also had lots of marks and scratches that I made sure to take pictures of just in case we got charged. They were also pretty thin, you can hear everything.
Motels definitely feel cleaner than this place.
The emergency staircases felt unsafe, they sounded and felt extremely rickety under our feet. Please be careful when using these stairs, hold onto the railings/walls.
Didn't see any other POC guests so I felt a little out of place lol got quite a few stares
Will not be going back to this lodging again, I didn't read the reviews though (you'd think at $300+ a night it'd be fine haha) so lesson learned I guess.

Beautiful hotel and a wonderful location. The staff was super friendly and the breakfast was good. I loved that they had pancakes instead of waffles. It's right on the lake and the sun and moon rises are amazing. The fire pit outside was great.

We had a wonderful stay. The breakfasts were great and the service at breakfast was outstanding. One of the staff , her name was Kaylee was exceptional. Can’t say enough good things about Kaylee.
Later we found out that her mom and her sister Natalie also worked there. What wonderful ambassadors to represent the hotel. Because of them, we will probably come back here and stay again. They made our stay even better.

Excellent place on the shores of Lake Superior, with a beautiful view, comfortable, large and very well equipped rooms.
Safety: The town is very quiet and safe.
Walkability: Hotel on the shores of a lakeside promenade, you can take a great walk.

No anti slips mats in bathtub, no grab bars in tub either. Dangerous for seniors or anyone really. Breakfast was sub par. Hashbrowns mush, bacon greasy and eggs watery. Location was awesome. Staff were great. Hotel dated. Rooms need updating. Very expensive per night for what you get
Safety: Slip Mat needed in tub and grab bar in tub not just outside of tub. Electric cord to lamp beside bed was frayed

Absolutely lovely! Location is perfect - right on the lake walk and perfect for canal park on foot or Duluth by car. The lodge is tastefully done plus has a warm, welcoming vibe. With comfy beds and a nice pool/hot tub area, our stay was very restful yet fun. An outdoor fire pit was another bonus. I was surprised at the quality of the included breakfast - better than most prior experiences. The only thing I could think to improve would be to have more vanity space in the bathroom. Thanks to the wonderful lodge staff who were overall exceptional.

We stayed for a family reunion. The rooms were good with better than average breakfast. We were a bit surprised by being asked if we wanted maid service, which prompted our question "At an additional cost" fortunately the answer was no. The rooms had no do not disturb signs or makeup my room signs so guess what early the first day the maids arrived. Again repeated the question Do you want maid service.

Nice hotel on the shore of Hořejší jezera. Very clean and large rooms. The location is ideal for walking.

We stayed in 235 from 6/27-6/30/24. The people above us sounded like elephants at all hours of the day and night. Clean room, comfortable beds. Staff was nice. Breakfast was awesome! Next time I'll ask for a room on the top floor but I think families with kids should stick to the first floor! Microwave had crumbs in it, not clean at all.
