While visiting Duluth on a very awesome family vacation, our alternator indicated that it was going to ruin our family fun on the second to last day of our trip. After diagnosing our issue at a local auto parts store, I spoke with Josh at 4th Street who was able to get our van in and serviced the same day. Josh was amazing and I know there are others at 4th street who worked to get us back on the road in a timely manner. They rock, I’m grateful for this establishment! Thank you 4th Street you saved our vacation!

4th Street Auto shop was amazing! My boyfriend and I were from out of town when my cars air conditioner compressor decided to break. This place took me in right away, they had to expedite parts from the twin cities overnight because I needed to get back to the twin cities. All the employees were very nice and gave me updates. When my car got fixed, they called me and told me that they could come pick us up from the hotel we were staying at which was very thoughtful. I got a really nice hand written letter in the mail a few weeks later from the owner. I would 100% come back if I need to and recommend to others!

I have a 2016 GMC Terrain that needed a completely new engine, among a handful of other repairs. Mike was diligent about working with my warranty and managed to whittle the cost down to almost nothing!! Im so incredibly relieved and happy with the service I was provided.
I was also given a rental vehicle for the time I was without my vehicle. Their communication was great throughout the entire time, and I felt like my car was in great hands.
I’d highly recommend these guys for any repairs!

This used to be a 5 start review though I must update it. 4th Street Auto has some nice people working there, but that seems to be where it ends. They charge nearly DOUBLE the amount of money for labor compared to other local auto repair shops, and are also seemingly less knowledgeable. I had them work on my car for about 2 and a half months before they told me themselves they could not work on it anymore. Which after I brought to another auto repair shop that told me in detail what was wrong and charged me half of what 4th Street Auto would have charged.
4th Street Auto worked with me on pricing, and seems as though they tried their best to fix my car. Their best isnt even close to good enough for the prices they are charging.

I used to go to this shop when it was owned by another and they took amazing care of me especially as a student on a budget.
After changing hands a few years later I was unlucky to have a factory-flawed part installed that they had no way of knowing at the time, but these folks did everything they could in their power to make this better and replace it with a working part. They're great at keeping you informed and will always tell you the cost before a repair.

I got ripped off! Brought my 2001 Buick Lesabre in because it would stall and I needed new front brakes/rotors, oil change and both radiator hoses replaced which I supplied. They put in new plugs and performed the other work and said it was good to go after a bill of $1,600. The car still stalled/ran rough so I brought it to another shop that showed me coolant and air leaking from the upper intake manifold. I replaced the manifold and the car runs great.....so basically I paid $1,600 for new plugs, new front brakes, two easy hoses to replace that I supplied and an oil change.

All I have to say is unbelievable. Probably the best auto shop experience I've ever had. Me and my coworker are from out of town for work. We had a problem with our work truck. The shifter broke. The part we needed had to be ordered. Not only did this shop take us in right away ( which was approaching closing time) got the part ordered and had us back up and running the very next day. Also they gave us a loner to use free of charge till the truck was fixed, who does that? Anyways we'll be up here plus other crews of ours till this Winter and we will be back here if we have any other vehicle problems. All I can say is I wish I had an auto shop back home half as good.

I brought my focus st here with a ton of different problems and they were able to fix it up extremely fast and efficiently. When I left I felt like I was driving a new car home. 10/10 would recommend for anybody around the duluth area

Great experience with bad situation. Brought for oil change on certified used vehicle and they found an oil leak hopefully still covered by dealership.
