The barbecued ribs dinner was excellent. Very tender wonderful homemade sauce. I highly recommend on a Friday night going. Get their ribs, you will not be disappointed.

After a three day visit to Detroit Lakes, and six days on the highways, our best meal was brunch at the 59'r. Six of us ordered different menu items. With great tastes and generous servings, we devoured our portions. We enjoyed the very best service in the past 5 years, also.
Once the server overheard it was my birthday, I was offered my choice of a complimentary baked item. I chose the sinful caramel roll.
Bad fast food would have cost about the same, without the great service and thoughtfulness. This diner is a treasure.

6/17/23 not a good experience. Busy. Sat at a table in the back that was open but not washed from previous patrons. After a waitress walked by us 2 times without acknowledging our table of 5 we tried to move to another table that was just getting ready to go. Another family walked in and right over to that table as we were standing waiting for the table to empty first before sitting down. Spent 15 minutes there with not one word from any staff so we left and had dinner somewhere else. It's really too bad because a month ago Deb was amazing and it was excellent service when she was our waitress.

Diner like atmosphere. Breakfast all day. Interesting home cooked options. Very busy so had a wait to be seated. Enjoyed the experience.
