Big thanks to everyone at Dave's Mulch Store. They provided me with soil to landscape my gardens, the mulch needed to build my daughter's playground, as well as the sod I used for my lawn. Everyone I spoke with in each of my purchases was very helpful. Their delivery driver skillfully placed materials wherever I asked. I highly recommend them for any of your landscaping needs.

Person who answered the phone was nice. I ordered 7 Cubic Yards of Western Red Cedar @ 55/yard + $70-80 delivery fee. They charged me $499.99. The pile didn't look nearly as big as a six cubic yard order I had gotten from another supplier who doesn't deliver any more. Being an engineer I measured the pile. They dropped off a cone shaped pile which measures 11' in diameter by 3.5' tall (I'm being generous on the dimensions). That calculates out to 4.1 cubic yards. I called and politely asked if they were bringing the rest she said no they don't make mistakes. I asked if the industry standard was different. Does one cubic yard not equal 27 cubic feet? She did not answer that however she said their bucket is "certified" at 1 cubic yard per bucket. That's great but the numbers don't line up and its not even close. After she rudely hung up on me I received a call back from the same man I had talked to the previous day and he left me a nasty voicemail. I figured at first it was just an honest mistake but it looks like it may be systemic. I am not sure if they just figure that no one would know how to check so they can just short it?

Dave's mulch is an awesome landscape supply store in Delano. They are all stocked and their prices are fair. The owner is awesome and does phenomenal work. If you live in town or are near Delano I would highly recommend using their products and services!
