4 laps is 1 mile. Decent terrain and foliage. Very nice for a small/medium dog park.

Adequate park but can’t keep eyes on dog the whole time due to huge hill in the middle of park. Could go to the top of hill to watch, but run the risk of ticks in brush or poop piles left by inconsiderate dog owners. After visiting many times, I like the old one better even though it was smaller, even had lighting at dark.

I hate this Dog Park and wish the city would remove it. The people that go here are inconsiderate to my neighborhood and roll down the street doing 45mph.

The updated dog park is much better than it used to be. Huge space around trees and hills. Small dog section is more than just an afterthought with a fence put up, it's like a whole second park.

One of my favorite dog parks in the twin cities! It was recently updated and so much better than it was. Trails for people (and dogs) to walk, wooded area, flat land (with a few small inclines) which makes it perfect for a nice relaxing walk.
Kind of hard to know it’s there if you don’t know about it. The parking lot behind the Bassett Creek Park sign leads into the dog park. Walk past the “do not enter” sign and you’ll see the main entrance. There are two parks, one for bigger/social dogs, and one for small, less social dogs. For the big dog park, there are two entrances. The main (if you are facing the dog park in the parking lot, walk towards the right), and another one that is more secluded (if you park facing the dog park, walk left towards the trail and you’ll see the secluded entrance.)
Amenities: running water with dog bowls, handicap port-a-potty (by the parking lot), benches in open and more secluded spots around the park, doggy poop bags, and surrounded by beautiful mature trees that overlook a nearby pond/stream. Wear bug spray!!!
Toilets: Handicap port-a-potty

First time to a dog park and I will definitely check them out more before I go to another one. I do not care for the design of this dog park (the larger dog side) as I could not see the whole park from any vantage point. My dog took off with a new friend. I heard barking and could not see where they were at all - It took me a good minute to catch up to where they were and I could see him. It is a really nice area with trees to be sure, but I could not even see who all was in the park. As we were leaving someone with a dog rounded a corner I had not seen yet, and I had gone around the whole park. You can call me a giant whimp - but dogs are forever toddlers. No one would ever take a toddler to a park where you could not see them, or who else was there, to run and play.

Excellent dog park. Lots of shade and fun hills. Watch out for ticks and other biting bugs in the shrubbery. Glad that they have a space for Real Dogs and for Wimpy Dogs so no one gets eaten.

Beautiful dog park connected to a number of walking/biking trails. One area is for smaller, more timid dogs and the other bigger area is for the more adventurous ones. Both sides are really nice. Free to use and they even have poop bags in case you forgot to bring em!
Toilets: They have one porta potty next to the parking lot.
Dog-friendliness: Up to two dogs allowed per human. No leash needed inside the fenced areas.
Picnic area: No picnic area here, but on the far side of the park there is!
