“Jason,Probably the reason why you experienced an apathetic response from the overnight cashier was because the most awesome cashier extraordinaire, otherwise known as "Gordy" was out on medical leave. He reported how during his leave, he heard many complaints from customers and now he's back at work. He also reported begging the doctor to let him return but they would not relent, protecting his health over his duty to his store. That's the kind of commitment you find from Gordy. He also reported how the Garrison gas station cannot fill the overnight position and so unlike many stores, we are very grateful to have the Crosby gas station open 24 hours a day.My only concern is what happens when Gordy retires next year? My experiences at Holiday have only been positive and uplifting, with the majority of the cashiers truly interested in our lives and in providing extraordinary service, not only to us but to the community.Sorry you had trouble, Jason, but there's usually a reason behind the trouble, and in this case, it was that Gordy wasn't on duty as he usually is, dutifully working the night shift at the Crosby gas station.Hats off to you Gordy!!!”
