This wonderful company is family to me. When opportunities elsewhere come up, they encourage you to go for it; if that opportunity doesn't pan out, they welcome you back with open arms.As for drivers complaining about "skimming" that is far from truth. When you're an O/O and don't complete the contract, you best believe escrow will be held to cover any neglect and/or damages to the rig—it's not yours until you have that slip, and should you leave without completing the purchase, it makes sense the escrow pays for damages. There's a company for everyone, go find one you can rip off. This company certainly doesn't rip you off. Much love!

See the Me me review. It's spot on. Currently in litigation with the company over several unethical practices. The Michael foods loads are brought to America Midwest Transportation yard ($150 charged to driver) where they sit for days. Then the driver unlucky enough to get that trailer is charged the late fees. Contact me for many more.

Not a good place to work unless you're only wanting to get paid "Driver's pay" and that's it. Very crooked place. Many driver's have quit over the past few months due to the Garland skimming off the loads. When doing the load paperwork he tells you the load pays X-amount, when the loads are actually paying double the amount shown on ur paperwork, then he wants to take his percentage and the fuel from the X-amount he told you. Oh best believe all the money that is taken from your check to go into your ESCROW. Garland will be pocketing if/when u decide to end employment...I see law suits from former driver's in the near future. Sounds like fraud.. DO NOT WORK FOR GARLAND AT AMERICAN MIDWEST TRANSPORT IN COURTLAND, MINNESOTA!!

Kind, generous, honest folks. I leased a 2021 Kenworth, six months ago and haven't stopped running since.

It's a company i can trust with my freight hauling needs. The service team is always there to help repair my truck when needed unless they're overbooked on work.

Great payroll staff and super good money. One of the best safety people in the industry and two very good load planners. The shop is awesome.

Great place to work! They keep me busy never any problem getting home. Feels like family here. Not all the bells and whistles as other places but definitely a family oriented career and as long as you do your job they leave you alone.

I've worked here twice, I left because of personal reason! And they hired me back. Made good money, keep you running. Whenever you needs home time, they will get you there with no problems. And when you're dispatched under a load, they don't hound you are keep calling you, as long you're doing your part you want hear form them. Any lane you want to run they have it. Good staff to work with, just down to earth funny crazy, love to laugh, and make you feel at home. They know you by your name and not your truck number. And the bossman Mr: Garland has an open door policy, you can go straight to his office, if your problem can't get handled with the staff. But 99.99% the staff can help you. That's why I'm going back, I left on a good note and they are bringing me back on board. Are they a perfect company, of course not, but show me one,and I'll be on the 1st thing smoking. Do they have faults yes they do, and so does any other trucking company. But for me this's the best one I ever work for so far.
