Muffler doctor squeezed us in as a last-minute call for an urgent issue to fix an exhaust leak on our Pretty old scion .
They were really busy. This in particular is what I am appreciating the most. It was professional work that was done in a pinch, and it was our first time with them.
Also, I learned they have all ASE certified mechanics who have a combined almost 100 years experience. Check them out.

I am not quick to write reviews, but this was an especially bad experience.
I brought my vehicle in with the AC not working. I warned them both when I called and when I dropped it off that I had already tried adding refridgerant and it leaked out almost immediately. They called back later that day that they had oiled the compressor and added refriderant with dye and it is working. I reminded them that it leaked out quickly and they said that it is blowing cold air and holding. They also asked me if I wanted the cabin and engine air filters replaced. I said no, I can handle that.
I show up and pay for the refridgerant, dye and labor. As I get into my car to leave the cabin air filter is sitting on the passenger seat and the glove box is unattached and all its contents on the floor. I didn't bother going back in as I can easily fix it myself, but mildly frustrating. I drive down the road and about 1 block away, the hood flies up. The engine air filter was not re-installed and the hood was not latched. That is a serious miss and dangerous. I reinstalled the engine air filter and started driving home. The AC was not working but blowing just hot air. So not only did they charge me for nothing, but didn't even put the car back together and left the hood unlatched.
The next day, they texted me to ask if everything was great. I responded with the issues with the service and never heard back. Why would you text to ask if everything was great, if you had no intention of doing anything if the reponse back was no?

Had a small separation on my resonator that was causing a super annoying rattle they had it welded up and fixed extremely quick at a fair price!

I've gone to them 3 times so far, and they've been fantastic every time . The first time they just patched me up, and told me I wouldn't need a replacement at that time.
They replaced my whole muffler this most recent time, on a different vehicle. They just followed up asking how the vehicle is running.

Muffler Doctor & Auto Clinic in Cottage Grove was great. Needed muffler repair on one of our cars. Didn't want to spend much as this car bluebook value is really low (although any good running car is invaluable these days) Was pleasantly surprised by Muffler Doctor. I called, and they suggested I really had to come in, which makes sense. They gave me options/pricing, and really tried to keep the price low. The dealership quoted me $4,000 (to be clear, dealer did say 'shop around') to repair whole system. I drove out of Muffler Doctor with a repaired, safe, car for just under $200.

This place is awesome. They are not pushy like the dealership mechanics and are honest. The cost for labor is fair. I will definitely be back.

Took my Crown Vic in for steering pump replacement.
They let my car sit for two days while I spent $400 on cab rides to work for the weekend.
Came and picked my baby up, got a quarter mile down the road and she started in with that whining noise again.
Asked about it and was told "look, man, your car is old, and she's gonna make noise."
Not THIS NOISE, YOU SUB HUMAN. You undeserving of the air in your lungs, animal. There are cars WAY older than mine, and NONE of them make the tell tale "air in the power steering" noise.
They let my baby sit for the weekend, filled her up with the power steering fluid I had in my back seat, and billed me $200 for my trouble. That car was a gift from a dearly departed family member for my 21st birthday... and they treated her like that. Hope it was worth it, because I will never stop telling this story to anyone who will listen.
