This review is in regards to the custom countertops only. Poor quality and terrible customer service. If you’re a homeowner and not very experienced with countertop installation then do not buy from Menards. Not DIY friendly at all.
We ordered new custom high definition laminate countertops from Menards. We went over the design process with them in store. This is what we ended up with.
First off, the staff assisting with design are very inexperienced and not very knowledgeable when it comes to the whole process. They weren’t able to answer any questions regarding installation.
The counters have an overhang on each side that extends past the base cabinet. They failed to account for our oven width and now the oven doesn’t fit. The counter tops will require heavy modifications to make them work.
Second, they are just poor quality. The laminate on the edges are already peeling up in two different places. You can see in the photos there’s a gap between the laminate and the wood so it wasn’t even glued on properly from the manufacturer.
We tried to save money by doing it ourselves, but it’s going to end up costing us more than if we were to just hire a professional in the first place. Since we’re going to have to hire someone to modify these.

Honestly it's still probably best all around hardware store. It's laid out well and the staff is well trained and the prices are good. You probably won't find the highest end stuff there but if you know what you need you can probably get it relatively quickly and easily there.

Great location. Easy to get to. I often need to run in and grab something I need on job. Can get in and out pretty quickly even though I wanna look around longer.

Sometimes a great value sometimes kinda expensive but they always hire enough help that you can find what you need. So different from a trip to the DEPOT. You can walk into that place after 4 pm and scream fire ? without anyone responding at all.

I purchase light plates and made a mistake on my count. I had my receipt and came in to make correct changes.
Walking up to service center and asked who can help me. There was a male and female working with no customers near. I asked who can help us, no response…finale the woman said she would. The gentleman named Alex gave us nasty looks and acted condescending. We went to get the correct material and returned, Alex again was rude. As we left my husband said put a smile on and be friendly, his response was a smart a remark . Very very poor customer service.
I called the store, the front of the store manager answered. I asked who I can talk to or even the name of employee. He would not give me any information. Was just adamant he gets the information. I told Jim the information above and would hope the could have a few steps above the individual workin now. He never asked my name, number nothing. Menards is failing with customer service, I will go elsewhere and hope others do to.

A one star because there is no option for zero. Rob, the store manager, seems like his is only there to say. I'm sorry, but it's not my problem. Jeff was rude and talked in circles about how he wouldn't help me because he didn't have to. Rob contradicted what he Jeff said and said all the problems were outside of his control. I have spent close to 15000 here in the last month. I'm returning everything I can. I will not be shopping here anymore. I would recommend to everyone to find a different store. 0 for customer service.

Bought a chair that was on sale. Had to go around back to pick it up. Box did not fit in our vehicle and the worker was nice enough to help us take it out and slide the pieces in. Great service all around.

We were in the garden center. I never had the worse customer service ever today. We were at the register. A dark haired white lady told us the lemon trees had a special for $5.66. That worked there. We went to the register it was over $36.00. We wanted to get a price check. The lady from the sells floor yelled at my daughter and stared at her. Why would the floor sales lady be so rude? Then the white older lady at the register rolled her eyes at my daughter. Cuz my daughter said that is not what we were told for the price. We left the lemon tree at the register. We will never come back to this store again. Very poor service and very disrespectful.

Donna - the manager at the service desk has lost a customer for life over a $10 pvc cutter. Original packaging and no receipt due to cash. Absolutely zero customer service or offer for a resolution. Many thousands have been spent here. Unreal

The bricks, decorative rock, pavers etc. Have NO PRICES with them. Signs tell me to scan the QR code to see the price. You've got to be kidding me!! Not all Menards customers know how to use their phone for this purpose and not all of your customers have cell phones. Just another way Menards is alienating their customers.
