Incredibly poor experience adopting a puppy here. I have adopted from shelters for years and this shelter didn't disclose how severely sick this puppy was. They Said other than the hook worms that she had she was healthy. This was untrue. Here I am 2 weeks after adopting and have over 2000 dollars in vet bills cause the puppy has pneumonia and other bacterial infections. I have gone to different vets to get a 2nd opinion and they all recommended the emergency vet to get the puppy on oxygen and get fluids. The quote from the emergency vet was $6400. It's dishonest to sell puppy's that are severely Ill and not disclose that. The whole liter should have just been euthanized.

Proceeded with caution, my fiancé went to adopt a cat two years ago not only did they lie about the age of the cat by saying that the cat was only nine months old. Turns out she was 9 to 10 years old. they had malnutrition cats that they were adopting out as if they were still babies here we are two years later within the same week, he was notified by a professional veterinary clinic that this cat was nine years old with flew around the heart and lung issues today we had no other alternative but to try to bring her back she’s attacking us. She’s attacking my child and is obviously not in good health. My fiancé is disabled as I am too, and we do not have that kind of money. They were wrong two years ago when they connivingly sold him this cat, she was old and sick not only that but employees were rude and had no compassion over the situation was unwilling to help or work out payment plan y’all need to do better……. I highly recommend not going here find alternative Humane Society to adopt your pet lack professionalism.....

I love doggie obedience classes at AHS. The instructors are patient and have lots of good suggestions on how to get your dog to behave.

Charge to much to bring a cat in thats ready for immediate adoption. And they don't take in feral cats & domesticate them. If the cat growls bites or scratches them they will put it down. So unless your surrendering a house cat don't bring it to this humane society. They should have there workers out trapping feral cats for TNR program but instead they expect the general public to do it for them and then they charge them between $40 - $70 dollars per cat if it's a surrender more if it's just a release. This is why there isn't more people helping to get the feral cat problem under control.

04-01-24 We brought our medium-sized pup to the level 3 training offered here. We came to the 7:30 class, we were the only group in this class, so we started and ended a bit sooner than the schedule, no complaints. The teacher Noah was great, very informative, and patient. Really appreciate the great advice! Overall, it was a great facility, very clean and put together well.We typically go to the Golden Valley location, though with times offered for classes, we opted to come here. Would certainly recommend checking out this location.

We adopted Jack, a Shiba Inu, in September of 2023. He was originally brought to Humane Society as a stray. They said that a few people adopted him, but brought him back. He is still with us and is a part of the family. His name is now Marley after the legend, Bob Marley. He is the sweetest boy. Full of energy and mischief! We absolutely love him ❤️

Dear Humane Society,I hope this letter finds you well. I wanted to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude for the invaluable assistance you provided during a challenging time for me and my beloved pet, Rocky. As you may know, Rocky holds an incredibly special place in my heart. He belonged to my dear son, who tragically passed away in an accident. Rocky's companionship has been a source of solace and comfort for our family during this difficult period. When Rocky fell ill and required urgent veterinary care, I found myself facing financial constraints that seemed insurmountable. The cost of his treatment was daunting, and I was at a loss for how to proceed. Without your intervention, I would have been forced to make an impossible choice - either use funds allocated for our rent, which would have devastated us, or forgo the care that Rocky desperately needed. However, your organization stepped in with unwavering support, providing funding that enabled me to access the necessary treatment for Rocky without jeopardizing our living situation. Your generosity and compassion not only alleviated the financial burden but also renewed my hope and determination to do whatever it takes to ensure Rocky's well-being. Thanks to your assistance, Rocky received the critical care he needed, and I am happy to report that he is now on the road to recovery.Words cannot adequately express the depth of my gratitude for the assistance you provided. Your commitment to supporting pet owners in need is truly commendable, and I am profoundly grateful to have had the privilege of benefiting from your services. Please know that your kindness has made a significant difference in our lives, and we will forever cherish the role you played in Rocky's journey to health and happiness. Your organization's dedication to animal welfare is an inspiration, and I am honored to be a recipient of your support.Thank you once again for your kindness, generosity, and unwavering commitment to helping pets and their families in times of need. Your work truly makes the world a better place, and I am deeply grateful for everything you do.With heartfelt appreciation,The Wicklace'sOur Angel Andy
