Bobby and Steve's has been able to get me in right away and always is respectful of my needs and means. Everyone is very helpful, especially Diego. He has helped my partner and I many times get through the stress of car repairs on a budget. He has listened to our concerns and has been willing to go above and beyond every time to make sure I am comfortable with the work being done. Bobby and Steve's has two loyal customers because of Diego's excellent service. I highly recommend them.

Recently i went to this shop because i used to trust them , but this last time with the rack/pinion replacement for my Nissan Armada was really bad , my steering wheel its not aligned how is should it be and i paid almost 2k for the job. Thanks for the bad results Bobby & Steve's Central av. team.

I've been coming to you guys for as long as you have been open in Columbia Heights and you consistently are not on time with how long you say the service will take. I made an appointment with Jeff yesterday for an oil change today at 9. On the phone he said it would take 40 minutes. I dropped the car off at 8:50, and Jeff said the car before me was almost done and I would be in soon. I took a walk and returned at 9:45, and my car still hadn't been brought in. The young man behind the counter, I felt, got an attitude with me when I expressed my frustration and ask what was the point of scheduling an appointment? I spoke with Jeff and he was more apologetic but after the same issue all these years I will bring my business elsewhere.

I come in with a flat tire. Takes 45 mins to tell me I need a new tire. Than another hour and a half to get the tire replaced. Don't belive them when they say they can get you right in.

They told me I needed rear brakes and rotors when I didn't. It's rare if at all that rear brakes and rotors need to be replaced. I will NEVER go there again for ANYTHING. They rip people off by lying to customers to make more profit. I also heard this from a former Bobby and Steve's employee.

The company replied to this review saying they are concerned and would like to get to the bottom of this, no one has reached out. At the same time they have replied to our BBB complaint saying we are scamming them. Unreal!
I would highly advise not bringing your car here for service. We called ahead and spoke to the service tech, letting them know we needed a transmission flush and fill as the fluid in our newly purchased car was running low, and wanted to get this done asap to avoid any damage to the transmission. We dropped off the car, and an hour later we got a call saying they couldn't do it because it needed a special tool (which doesn't seem accurate after some research) and the fluid was very expensive (but they didn't ask if we were just willing to pay more) - even though we had given them the make and model of the car on the phone. We said ok, went to pick up the car, drove the car 30 feet, not even out of the parking lot, and realized it was making a clicking noise that it wasn't making when we dropped it off an hour earlier. We turned the car right around and went back inside - the tech said that he noticed the clicking when he did a test drive. The car was not clicking when we dropped it off, it needed a transmission flush and we told them the issue with it, so why a test drive? It seems that the tech test drove the car, tried to recreate the issue we explained to him by slamming on the brakes but with low transmission fluid, he ended up destroying the rear-differential in the vehicle. They said they'd have a master tech look at it the next day, who confirmed the rear differential issue but took no responsibility. We talked to the manager/owner on Monday who again, took no responsibility, told us they wouldn't work on the car and then forced us to leave. The car is no longer drivable so we had it towed to another shop where we got a quote for $5000 to fix the issue that didn't exist when we dropped the vehicle off. We have a video from our security camera that shows us heading to the shop to drop the car off (barely 1 mile from our home) and the car is not making any noise, which they wouldn't even look at. My husband and I both work in the service industry and my dad owned an auto-shop for almost 30 years. I know this is a tough business and these shops deal with a lot of flack from people. But we are not those people. We simply have a $5000 issue on our vehicle that didn't exist when we dropped our car off at Bobby & Steve's. The dishonesty is maddening and I'm so disappointed in the service and the lack of accountability from this company - I cannot imagine running my business like this.

My buddy brought a vehicle here to get a transmission flush and fill. Told them that it was low on fluid. Tech test drove the car and blew out the rear differential of the vehicle. They took no responsibility for what they did. They also called the police on him. I know my buddy and he wasn’t calm at all but I don’t think calling the police was necessary. This business preys on poor people and they get away with it. Owning a car repair shop is like having a license to steal. These guys use that license better than most.

They worked on my car totally ruined it I would not trust these people! Go somewhere else! They will ruin your car and charge you to fix it. They need to be investigated for fraud and sued for what they do to their customers.

Drove my car in to Bobby and Steve’s on Saturday and was called shortly after told to come back to pick up my vehicle. They were supposed to do a transmission flush and fill. Instead they went for a joyride and messed up my rear differential. I was told the manager would call me. The car was not drivable so I waited to hear from them. 2 days later I show up to talk to the owner and not only does he not accept responsibility, he actually called the police on me. The police told me it’s a civil issue. I need to take them to court. I fully intend to do this. I am fortunate enough to have prepaid legal services through my employer.
