We live in a world that seems to be obsessed with greed more often than not. However, while traveling away from home, I felt like my brakes were in need of attention, fully expecting them to need replacement. I made an appointment at Cloquet Automotive to get things checked out. I was informed that everything was in good condition and had no need of repairs, and was given a thorough explanation of the state of my components. I have to say that it was so refreshing to encounter such honesty in a customer/business interaction where it is very easy to take advantage, especially of less car-savvy folks such as myself. We are bombarded by greed at every turn, from grocery store checkouts begging for handouts at every visit, to nickle and diming coming from every corner of our experience with the world of commerce. A less reputable business would have surely found a way to justify at least some measure of expense in my case. However, I was sent on my way and not even charged for their time, even at my protestations. I cannot emphasize enough how refreshing it was to encounter such honesty and lack of brazen greed. You should feel very comfortable in the ethics of this establishment. They surely deserve your business and if I'm here again and in need of vehicle attention, I know where I'll be going. 5/5

Bruce and his son took great care of my poor old wore out Ford! They kept working on it till they finally figured it out and fixed it. wasn't a easy job. Thank you!

We had some car trouble halfway into a road trip and pulled into the nearest auto shop. We walked in on Friday at lunch time and Bruce graciously took time to diagnose and while carefully explaining his reasoning so I could understand the issue and make the best judgement on how to proceed and get my family back on the road. Thank you for your help Bruce!

A nasty mistake caused the cooling fuel to be lost which stranded my car near Cloquet. Cloquet Automotive retrieved the vehicle quickly, diagnosed the problem immediately and efficiently found a replacement engine and installed it proffesionally. I live a 1000miles away otherwise no car of mine would ever see another garage.

We got stranded in Cloquet with a bad transmission. Two dogs, a truckload of belongings, 2 hours from home, and 1 hour from our land. The Ford dealership we found in town couldn't help us. But they did refer us to Cloquet Automotive. We limped our vehicle to them. Bruce was wonderful from the get go. He ran a scan, diagnosed the problem, explained all the different scenarios to us. He spent a lot of his late Friday afternoon with us, and was very much appreciated! We would have loved to have him work on our truck, but the chance of it being warrantied, and the fact that we couldn't get a rental in Cloquet, we ended up getting towed to a Chevy Dealership in Superior. Bruce recommended Eagle Towing. (By the way, they were excellent as well.) The customer service we received from both of them far exceeded our expectations! We are home now, and our truck is in Wisconsin. Could be a while before we see it again. But just had to let everyone know what wonderful service we received from Bruce!

My car broke down on highway 35 right before the Cloquet exit. I called for a tow and they set that up for me and that was very efficient, quick and they cared about their customer. They towed my car to the Cloquet Automotive the Shop, fixed and repaired my vehicle very quickly. I needed a new alternator. The price was very reasonable. Everyone was very thoughtful and helpful. I would highly recommend!

My sisters and I were on the way to Madeline Island when our car started displaying a transmission warning light. The closest town was Cloquet and after calling the Acura dealer in the Twin Cities, whose advice was to stop immediately and get the car towed back to the Twin Cities, we discovered Bruce at Cloquet Automotive. He put everything aside to get his code reader out and gave us the information we needed to continue our journey. He cleared the codes and sent us on our way...much less worried and more equipped to understand what was happening with the car. We felt so grateful and fortunate to have found him! Thanks, Bruce!

I would like to thank Bruce and his crew for the excellent job well done on getting my truck back on the road. I was traveling through the area for work when my truck broke down. Bruce and his crew took time out of their busy schedule to get it fixed and back on the road. I was able to make the 3 hour drive home it time to catch my son's baseball game.
