Best place to get English setters! We got our first English setter in 2013 and he has been the best dog ever. He is now 11 and still acts like he is 5 years old! From being a great family dog and an amazing drive for hunting and always wanting to be outside but still knows how to calm down when he’s not working he has become an amazing dog. He has had no health issues and has barely slowed down with age. Can’t say enough good things!

I've had two of their setters and they are both excellent bird dogs. They come with a ton of prey drive as well as being very bitable. You have to tell them what you are looking for and they will try to match you up with a those characteristics in a started dog. I am an older ruff grouse hunter and wanted a dog that stays with 50-60 yards in heavy cover. Took a few months but they matched me with a closer working dog. She will work out to maybe 100 yards in thinner cover say CRP land for pheasants or prairie birds. Yes they have some big running trial dogs as well so tell them exactly what your looking for. It may be a few months or so before they have one that might fit you well.

For someone that does not readily leave reviews, it takes a lot to feel compelled to write one, and with Berg Bros Setters I feel compelled. English setters were a unknown breed to my family, but we felt fully educated before committing. After taking possession of our new puppy and the subsequent weeks to follow, I can fully attest that these are fantastic dogs. We have a very intelligent and loving dog. He can turn it on in the field and mellow out in the house. Many people have complimented us on his demeanor and I feel we have only scratched the surface on his potential. I could not ask for more and have no need to consider a different breeder.

Berg Bros Setters has provided me with an extremely intelligent dog with tons of drive that still possesses the ability to settle down and relax in the house.Our little female from the Bonnie and PW Sunrise litter has incredible drive and desire to hunt. Our first year we were able to spend 3 week in Montana and North Dakota followed up by 4 weeks back home in NH. During this time is was amazing how quickly she adapted to different environments and species.Ben and Scott tell it like it is and provide a great product for an extremely fair value. I highly recommend a Hunting Setter from Berg Bros.

Ben is a bit rough around the edges, but we have boarded our dogs with him 2x now and know our dogs are well taken care of and safe!

We got our first bird dog a few months ago from Berg Bros - a started 7 month-old pup. He's been everything you could ask for in a dog. Deadly in the field, smart as can be, amazing family dog, and damn handsome! They've got a truly world class operation. We are only a few months into having him, and are already talking about a second one. You can bet it'll be a Berg dog.
