If you're interested in attending a school where the faculty are ill-equipped to deal with youth who struggle with behavioral/emotional issues, then Pines is right for you! Most of the faculty have poor frustration tolerance which puzzles me as to why they would even become a teacher in the first place. I felt that a lot of the staff had control issues. Each day you will power struggle with staff and teachers instead of focusing on the main goal. They dont make students want an education, they dont make kids feel good about waking up everyday and doing something for there life. This school is dogshit and they seem to be more focused on punishing you then helping you reach the goal of graduation. Ask how many students have graduated. 2. Only 2 and they were not even in the day school program. Kids at this school are there because they have no choice, and are not likely to even graduate, they are just waiting on the clock to run out so they can make the decision to no longer attend. Not to mention the lack of patience the principle, Bonnie Thoms, has. I can't find one positive aspect in this school.
