Jackie is an amazing and kind woman. She cut my mom and dad's hair for years and became a trusted friend. Mom had dementia and Jackie was so patient and gentle with her, and made her look great too.

I came here for Amanda Zimmerman who had been doing my hair for a while. She moved here so I followed. She is great at listening to how I want to do my hair. Every once in awhile I like to change it up. The prices here are exceptional. It is easy to book an appointment. This says a lot as a senior(challenged at technology).

I have very long hair and was looking to get a perm done. I stopped in and spoke with Jackie and booked an appointment. Day of the appointment far exceeded my expectations! My hair turned out even better than expected and Jackie is so fun and personable I see why she is booked out for appointments! I've had Jackie Wagner color my hair medium brown for some time. Was satisfied until I went to her for a color stripping process. Before this, I had very, very healthy nearly waist-length layered hair and worked hard to keep it healthy. I decided on color stripping because she said it was the best way to lighten SAFELY without damaging my hair. She told me that she was trying a new product on me. After she applied the stripper, she sat me under the dryer and kept me there much longer than the allotted time. She repeatedly expressed her concern that it was not lightening and admitted she did not know why. Finally, I asked her to turn the heat down because it felt too hot on my scalp. Little did I know that it wasn't the dryer heat but instead the chemicals that were burning my scalp! I immediately began losing my long hair at the follicle, literally fistfuls of it, for about 3 months, and have now lost nearly 75% of my hair. Some of it is still not growing back after 6 months and is very sparse near the scalp. Also, the hair shafts have shrunk so much that it is causing major breakage, and the fallen/broken hair is so thin that it is barely visible in the sink. In the last 6 mos. I've had 7-8 inches cut from the length because it is so thin and damaged. Not only did the process and/or product she used completely damage my hair and scalp, it did not even remove any of the color! Though she gave me a full refund at my request, I am still stuck with much shorter, two-tone, thin, greying damaged hair that will take a good 3 years to grow out! I was very reluctant to post this because I try to be a positive person; however, I feel it is only fair to do so because I can't even put a monetary damage on how much this has affected me emotionally! I am really depressed because the reality is that I will be stuck with these horrible results for a very, very long time and will be spending a lot more money trying to repair the damage. I have since done some research on the use of "box hair dye" which was what she used and purchased from Sally Beauty. Now I understand why the color cannot be removed. In the future, I will be sure to go to a "Color Specialist" who has expertise in hair color and removal and does not purchase their products from Sally Beauty.
